I've got an original grundig 1997 radio in my car, wich I have a buyer for.
Unfortunately I don't got the manual and serial of the radio. This would probably result in a theft-blocked radio when I unstall it.

I heard something you could turn of the security check in the menu of the radio.
Does anyone have a manual to check for me?
Would be a great help.

I have an original radio/cassette and manual. I think mine is a Clarion. I bought mine from eBay without a code and was told these were available from £2.99 off the internet. I bought the unit but when I contacted a company offering to supply the code, I was told that there was no code for radios of this age. I was very dubious but, when I installed the unit ( ten minutes ) it worked without the code. Anyway, there is nothing in my manual about resetting codes. Hope this helps.

The clarion is a newer genearation of the original radio. I don't want to take the risk to disconnect it and make the radio unusable.
Doesn't anyone have the orgininal grundig manual?

Ok. As far as I know, there were only two units fitted originally. The Grundig and the Clarion. I have a Clarion and an English Clarion Manual. My Barchetta was imported from Italy and I have all the original paperwork. I have a manual for the original radio/casette which features a different unit than the Clarion. Whilst the Clarion has a 'joystick' type switch, the original manual shows a unit with a round knob on the left. Is this a manual for the Grundig? Anyway, it's in italian but has a section 'segreto codice'. If it's any use, pm me with an email address and I will scan the page and send you an email.

I have sent you an email Olivier. Posting these as they might be of some help to others.

I will be translating the documents by a friend this week. I'll post up my findings when I get back to him.
From what I could understand it has something to do with FM button and 4 or 6 toghetter
