Hi,
I've just brought my newly acquired B from the UK down here to S France. Great drive and B went superbly, loved it! Top down most of the way.
Now I have a couple of queries.

Tyre noise seemed to me quite excessive. At present it's running on P6000's, fairly new. Knowing Fiat I guess this would have been their tyre of choice. Any info would be of help.

The volume of fresh air coming through the vents from the outside seemed very low. Is there a filter that's clogged or is it just not a very efficient system.

On the centre console within the ashtray escutcheon there is a red LED.
I can find no reference to it in the handbook. Does anyone know what it's for? Is it an extra?

BTW have just cleaned the rear screen with some stuff I got from ebay and I can now see the road behind!! Must be about the only stuff I've ever used that does actually do what it's claims. It's called 'Greygate Plastic Polish'.

Thanks to all Peter R

Hi Peter, the screen cleaner sounds just what I am looking for as there are white polish marks on our rear screen which washing doesn't seem to shift. Where did you find it on fleabay?

Re the tyres I will need some later this year but as yet haven't decided what to go for. As you say, I think Pirellis were probably oem, but which type...

Glad to see another 'B' down here. We are in the Midi Pyrenees, between Auch and Tarbes. Where are you?

P6000's should be fine, sometimes thou the beastie slides..

Red LED is the alarm light..if you have one fitted.

Thanks for the info on the red led, I guess I don't have an alarm!

The screen cleaner stuff on ebay you'll find if you type in Fiat Barchetta and wade through about 30 pages of bits. I suppose you could add screen or window which might narrow it a bit. It has a picture of b4 and after the magic treatment. Quite cheap, just a few quid/euros. I think you can also get it via the MG owners club. Yup retirement is hard work and after 10yrs it doesn't get any easier! I'm near Beziers/ Pezenas

Anyone any ideas on the the airflow?

Hi Crachat,
hope the info on the screen cleaner was of use.
As we seem to be the only B owners around here maybe we should meet up. Let me know what you think. My em is [email protected]
Regards
Peter
