Agree with D-rat et all... you hardly ever need to even touch the brakes if you use the engine/gears to reduce speed. When you need to stop from say 100 km/h to a halt, just throw in 3rd gear and your speed will reduce to 50 km/h in a jiffy.

Re: My Orange B

Make sure your Barchetta has good quality pads and discs firstly, then bleed the brakes with fresh fluid.
I have driven Barchettas with poor pads and discs and a high water content in the brake fluid i.e. 4% and the braking performance is significantly reduced.

Re: My Orange B

Just passed 70K at my odo. And finally changed steel wheels to something more advanced. Literally advanced

It`s AdvanceRacer RCIII 17" wheels with new Yoko tyres. Car handling is comletely different now. More sharpness.

I will go for some workshops to make 10mm spacers based on 3mm OEM ones.
And need to look for new bolts as well.

For brakes - decided to try new pads first (Brembo OEM). If it will not improves braking quality will go for EBC grooved disks + EBC greenstuff pads.

P.S. My ABS light is now on. But i have doubts to fix it, coz braking without ABS is feels much more efficient and predictable for me.

It is a smart car. I'm still not sure about the headlamp "eyelid things" though. Is it just me, or does anyone else get "Thomas The Tank Engine" flashbacks? No offence intended - you have clearly spent a lot of time and effort on your car.

I have to take the moral high ground here and say everyone has their own idea of styling.

Re: My Orange B

I give you alot of credit for the work done.

Although i need to say: The color change after the front wings is huge. It's like you have an original back-end welded to a modded frond-end

Re: My Orange B

More pics are on the way And maybe some video as well

Yes, door and fender have different color. That happens since gills cutting in fender, coz fender was repainted at that time.

I am thinking now what to do with that

This weekend i planed epic fight with squeaks in interior. I will take apart all interior and will gently go through it trying to fix and lube possible squeaking parts.

Any advices and ideas on that?

Re: My Orange B

I ve found that using the air-stop strips used in household windows and doors works wonders, make sure you avoid the foamy type though and trey to use the silikone ones. I got mine from a boat supply shop if that helps at all

I'm surprised its noisy, usually the interior is well built.
Personally when I fix interior noises I remove parts and refit them with a thin bead of black silicone. No more squeaks, rattles or creaks!
