Does anyone of you, could tell me if on a 97 Barchetta without Air Conditioning there's a cabin filter?

If yes, could you tell me please where is it?

Thanks

I think all have a cabin filter which is located under the windscreen wipers. So you need to take the wipers and the plate underneath them.

Hi!

Has anyone been able to locate the cabin filter?

Just got this B, as mentioned in other threads. Previous owner did none, 0, in terms of maintenance in the past three years.
So I have to do a full service maintenance.
I order also the air filter. Not sure where I should fit this.
The car has aircon.

Seriously, what's the point of putting a pollen filter in a soft top? And were pollen filters a thing in the mid-1990s anyway?

I have a 98, with aircon. no cabin filter/pollen filter anywhere. While addressing issues with the wiper assy. I double checked... no filter period. Not surprising in a little (affordable) convertible.

i guess there is a point !!
and it's not avoiding polen or dust in the cabin but avoiding it to contaminate the hole ventilacion circuit than besides all the dirt and humidity can create a nest off bacterias or fungos , it also can cause premature damage in the ventilation fan that acumulates dirt and unbalance starting to notice noisy fan and damaged bearings and also premature cloging of the radiators making heat transfer less efective and eventualy the rupture ...

I guess I'll remove the metallic cover under the wipers, see if it's under there.

I checked the other day the ePER parts listing for the "B" (all years) and no cabin filter is listed (as far as I can tell.

Having said this I do recall seeing somewhere a *possible* cabin filter that is fitted directly below the grill on the screen valance/scuttle panel. This panel as I recall has some side panels/end plates and the filter somehow was retained in that area.

If you have such a *speculative* filter then you only need a torch to shine through the grille mesh to see if you see a filter or just the expanse behind the grille.

Update on the cabin filter of the 2001 B.

I could not find one. All that I could find is this sort of glued in filter, under the grill, as s130 says.
But this does not seem to be designed to be removed. I could not remove it.
