If anyone is interested I've found a company in Ireland who tune / race Punto HGT's. They can do a range of performance upgrades on the HGT engine (and by default the Barchetta) which takes the power from 130hp up to 175Hp. This is done by replacing the ECU and for top power the cams as well + decat exhaust. 175Hp is apparently not suitable / legal for road use. Their maximum recommedation for the road is approx 165Hp.

Downside is they insist on doing all the work themselves and won't sell the bits on. They also require the original car engine in top condition and refuse to work on old ones...

Hard part is insuring the result. I had a full 5 act opera getting the turbo conversion insured and my cover went from comp to 3rd party only / limited mileage as a condition.

I spun my 'fire spitting, uncontrollable monster' off the road yesterday..right in front of 2 cops.

No sense of humour...'blow into this sir...'

My firebreathing, rip snorting chariot needs traction control...

130Hp for a light car like the B isn't bad..175 is + good, 200+ is better but the car spins like an S2000 in the wet if heavy with the right foot.
