Engine is now bought and paid for, and will be getting picked up on Monday!

It's a 50,000ish, model 2, so it's perfect. It's not been run for a year or so, but at £200 I can't argue. I used www.UKNextDay.com for postage - £100, but that's from Essex to Ayrshire.

Can't wait! Whoooo!!!!!

Well done on the find, when you get it I would take the plugs out and turn it over by hand.
Might be an idea to fit a new cambelt and variator while its out of the car - so much cheaper and easier. Also might be a good idea to get a new auxiliary belt and tensioner too.

Yup, guy said engine turns over by hand fine - but I'll check myself when I see it. I'll also give it a full service while it's out
