If you're not removing the imperfections with an abrasive (and only a machine can do this), then you are merely filling the swirls temporarily with a chemical, that will last for a couple of months at best.

I find it extremely difficult to believe that any pro detailer would not have a machine.

Anyway, each to their own. I'm very happy with the finish of my car, and if you are too, then it doesn't really matter what process is used.

Sorry to get back to the original thread but, would appreciate views on the benefits of this kind of mesh windbreak... I notice that it doesn't require the roll bars that other wind stoppers do. Can you still buy these new etc...

I have the same type of windstop as in the pictures. It's great for reducing buffeting even at motorway speeds - definitely makes quite a difference in my experience.

I have one too .. definately good for motorways

Definitly a must if you have long hair! Unless you don't mind looking like worzel gummidge.
