Shame, I ordered a part the other week only to be told the next hour it wasn't 'globally available' w*nkers!

Have you recieved those bushes yet?

Yes the bushes arrived garage have said they look fine , The swing arms i purchased arrived but supplier sent the wrong ones ,seller has apoligised to me and replacements are on there way . but until i find the part for the driveshaft my car is still in bits on a ramp this is now going in to its 3rd week ,I am hoping to hear from a supplier in hull on mon to say he can source the part,

I know have my car back on the road after almost 4 weeks in the garage.
fiat eventually got me the halfshaft bearing that was part 2 in the pic on the previous post , also replaced the driveshaft aswell, new front wishbones and outer anti-roll bar bushes, and finnaly sump had the stripped sump hole welded up and a new sump hole machined complete with new plug .
this ended up a very costly garage visit , but my B is now in A1 cond again.

....and how does she drive? I found Italians rather haughty, you spend a load of dosh on them and they act like it's an everyday event!

Not had a real chance to drive it yet , but does feel stiffer in roundabouts, the vibration i was getting on decelaration because of the drive shaft has gone.
I was actually trying to work out what i have not replaced under the car .

Passed Mot today but failed on the Hub assembly that is attached to the new driveshaft it was worn where the tie bolt meets the suspension arm £181 from Fiat , so i have worked out since ownership 3 years ago every component from the gearbox to the wheel and inc the wheel has been replaced. Apart from needing a new hood rubber soon on the front drivers side me thinks my car is in first class cond despite being 12 yrs old .

 I have I believe the only Barchetta in South Africa and feel pretty lonely. My left driveshaft CV joint is poorly, and hoping it is only the outer, and have tried to find one. Fiat themselves, who readily import parts generally when necessary, cannot get the part for me. Are there any cars which use a CV joint common with the Barchetta? Seems to me that's the first line of enquiry I must pursue.

I have been advised i need a centre bearing for the n/s drive shaft , but fiat dont sell on its own you have to buy the driveshaft aswell, also require anti roll bar bushes for the front same again fiat dont supply these on there own there own i have to buy the roll bar aswell. anyone know where to buy these without going to fiat any help will be gratefull
Hi.I have the bearing and shaft you are after
thanks mark

I posted a question earlier about CV Joints on my South African Barchetta, and just wanted to advise what I eventually did - I went to a generic CV Joint repair facility, and they quickly accessed Fiat/Alfa parts for me, did it cheaply, and my Barchetta is once again quiet when on hard lock both ways.Very happy!
