Does anyone know of anything that can be applied to the soft top to stop it fading over time?

there's a canvas cleaner and restore kit in the boating section of Meguires products which might do the trick... elbow grease mandatory thou

There's also a softtop coloring kit from MHW... should be able to find it on most "tuning"-sites or here (- page 27)

Hey I still have the original black PVC top and trctly stared using 3M's marine products to clean it and restore it, very happy with it so far, I would highly recommend it!

It's not so much a question of what to do once it's faded, rather is there anything you can do to stop it in the first place.....

You can't stop it fading I'm afraid, anything left in the sun will fade. Particularly Red and Yellow.

yes fading hard to stop but you can get spray with uv protection in it which will slow thing down i use it on my clothes as extra sun protection might be worth a try.

I put some Autoglym Bumper Care on my greying hood today (don't use it on a fabric one), and it brought back the black in a jiffy

i heard guys use Glycerin for "painting" tires to restore black colour, maybe will this work on hood.
