well the allready existing rubber hook doesnt have the window droping... I was thinking of more something along the lines of an overhang so the dinwo top goes into and only its top touches....

I got similar results from a site... i ve spotted a b in Corfu with dutch plates on, i might try and track it down and speak to the owner... might be able to give a helping hand i hope... either way if i have to change both plastic bits on each door i will have to wait till Henk gets back from holiday and order another plastic block...:bang::bang:

I suspect you've found someone in Kerkyra to translate for you by now but if not there's a Dutch couple who live in Kavos if you fancy going that far south (you should be safe, the drunken Brits have all gone home now) ;). They go into SOS Bar most nights and Jeff, (Greek but won't tell anyone his real name), the owner told me he was staying open all year.

but you should also check rubbers if are fitted correctly. because if one rubber is raised, then this rubber will push window and will not fit perfectly... for example, when i close passenger or driver door i can see some holes, then i have to put window 1 cm down and then up... it's ok when you are inside...

I think my rubbers are more or less all flush, i will take some pics and post them... I spoke to a friend who is pretty handy with deisgn progs and he agreed to help design what I am thinking, hopefully i will have the results shortly. :slayer:

They are a replacement guide for the electric window mechanisms to reduce the amount of free movement and, hopefully, let the windows sit in the right place to reduce wind noise.

Thanks HP, when I take my girlfriend back to uni I will check how excessive the wind noise is on the 260 mile round trip.

I asked at some fiat dealer here for the window plastic part and it costs 70Eur a pice :bang: at Henk is 35Euro...but still a pice of plastic????
i will try next month to make them myself from plastic...I will let you know how it goes..shouldn't be so difficult

Thanks Panda :) ,the pics can be very usefull, please also measure the piece and give me the measures (in mm :D ) I don't have a garage here in cz to open te pannels and outside is damn cold :( but in febr I'm heading back home and I'll work on the B. I have a friend who can laser cut them to the propper size. Also as I saw in the E-Per they are either SX or DX...I wonder is there any difference...I think for the plastic part not...and I think that the fiat part is complete (metal+plastic).
Please send me the pics by mail : [email protected]
thnx ;)

don't send him, post them here... I'd also like to try... I'm pretty handy with the fingers. :D

No offense F4usT don't know how handy u are, but the good news is that I just received an email from a Romanian company who can produce the parts for these prices:
Material polietilen BELL HD 500 (=CESTILENE HD 500) -which I think it's really good
· 1-5 buc............2,45 €/buc.
· 5-20 buc..........2,1 €/buc.
· 20-100 buc......1,8 €/buc.
· > 100 buc........1,5 €/buc.
--- note buc = nr of pieces

And even better the top quality material BELL HD 1000 +20% on the price.
Prices do not include 19% tax and shipment
execution term is 5-15 days depending on the quantity
(y)
I'm just waiting for the dimensions from Panda.. and I will order some pieces. But I'll be able to test them only at the beginig of february, when I go back to RO.

For anyone interested in the design of the part which is causing the noise/water leak issues...here u can find some pics & dimensions - not the best quality, but they do just fine -if anyone has time and wants to improve them...be my guest.. :)

Many thanks to paganeli panda as he provided the measures and the pics (y) (hope I didn't stress u too much)

I send the order to the company who can produce them and now we wait...between 5-15 days.:yum: I will update the results after that.

chatting with my old man about this he suggested getting them manufactured out of some sort of aluminum or something similar, stronger but light. Any objections? I am not engineer hence I have no clue..

I asked them to make it from BELL HD 1000 (Cestilene) one of the best they have, it is very strong material and has low friction. It's exaclty what we need. I also know this because I have pure metal instead of the top of the plastic part which tends to break, and it really sucks, because hte friction is high and windows move slowly plus that after some while the metal got a little wider => windows doesn't push on the rubbers how they should => wind noise, water some cases:(.

I ve just finished fitting the wee gizmos.. my old ones were not broken but I thought I would check them out regardless... What I noticed was that there was a lot of wear and tear on the black rubbery things that go on the ends of the white plastic platfomrs.. any ideas of where I can get some more? Otherwise fitting them was easy thanks to Henk's guide, albeit I coulndt understand a word of the Dutch but the pics helped out! As expected, the real bitch of the hwole thing was adjusting the window.. A word of warning, do not over tighten the screws that the manual sais to tighten otherise they come off... not a nice feeling!!
I spent a good full hour trying to adjust the window untill I was fed up, so I undid all the screws and simply moved the window to where i wanted it and then tightened it.. a lot easier than doing one at a time!

:D I finaly got my replacements for the plastic parts which I ordered to the Romanian company. The price is around 3.5 EUR/piece -I ordered 8 pieces to have spare ones for 28 EUR. The quality is much better than the original part. (y)
One thing --I did not ask them to make me the channels where the cables get in :( I didn't have the measures for them and I thougt it will be easy job. well it ain't easy if you don't have the tools but I manage to make it and now my windows run very smooth and there is no play in the window..they can be adjusted as you need :)
If anyone wants to order the parts...I can help you ..and I can provide also the measures and pictures for the channels where the wires get in so u won't have to make them manually.
www.bellprod.ro this is the company and this is the email where to order the part: [email protected]
special thanks to paganeli panda (y)

Some info for people who do the stupid thing...like I did...to catch the wire from the window motor in the window rail and cause a small shortcut...and then u will search the Fuse for half day with the service manual in ur front and wiring diagrams and a mechanic/electrician friend.....the stupid FUSE on the passanger side at the feet, near the the realys..under the compartment for stuff :bang: (one of the fuses anyway), another is under the engine bonet in the midle of the car in the back of the engine alog with the window ECU and some other relays.

Next project is to get the rubber around windshield as mine is pretty much gone...
