Greetings all,

Some sicko - just for the fun of it- slashed open the rear plastic window of my friends soft top barchetta. Nothing was stolen, just pure jealousy or....
Does anyone know if we can buy just the window ( not from fiat themselves ) or do we have to purchase the whole softtop? If so any sites recomended please.

Hiya mate! Check out the Barchetta section on here - just type in "replace rear window" in the search engine on that section and you will find loads of info on this! Cheers (y)

Sorry to hear about your friends Bee

I should have my 99 Bee back on the road in the next week or 2. one of my first jobs will be having a new window made locally that will zip in to the existing soft top zip that is fitted. From what I can see it will just be a matter of unpicking the stitches from the old window and zipping in the replacement.

I am going to have the shop make up a few of them at the same time. If you are not in a rush maybe I can help out. They will not be fiat origional quality but at a guess should be about £10 each delivered to the UK.

I will take pics of mine when it is done

Mine cracked in the cold a couple of years ago. I found a local classic car repairer who "had his girl" sew in a new one for about €90.

Otherwise Desert Rat seems to have found quite a good deal.

this sounds a great idea but i dont have a zip in type, i am wizard with a sewing machine and would be keen to see the zip in type as i could help out if members need a stitch job (y)

Bit like our local motor store that does batteries..they are fierce on overcharging...

Boom Boom!

Hi all, back from Crimbo at the in-laws and finally back on line! I am afraid that all of the window material has now gone to forum members who used it to repair their rear screens. The thread has just jogged my memory as part of the deal was that they were to put a 'how to' guide together!

Does anyone have a guide or instructions on how to remove the Barchetta soft top? I need to take ours off and re-sew all the seams as the stitching around the back window is coming apart:bang:

Thanks for the replies so far. Not so easy to work out exactly what is going on in the pics but dare say they will be clearer when I give the job a try! If anyone has any other help then I'll be glad to hear from you as can't get to the work for another 3 weeks unfortunately:(

I seem to recall I found a very bad quality video of a tech changing the softop on youtube.. might be worth a try..
