yep it's a Hyena based on the delta integrale, pretty rare. makes the barchetta like a mondeo in comparason.

Lancia pulled out of the UK because of their disasterous reputation for rust, reliability and rust:eek:
Back next year though:)

Lancia will not be returning to the UK in 2009. Wrong financial climate so the plans have apparenlty been shelved for the time being. Read this in Auto Italia mag. More detailed information to be given in next issue.

the lancia bad reputation was due to a silly press campaign, with ridicolous claims of cars dropping the engine due to corrosion.

lancia, fiat and alfaromeo are the same car since beginning of the 90es. cant figure out why a lancia should rust more than a fiat

I think this could have been due to the fact that the 131 and Delta was one of the first Fiat group cars to be built wilh low quality eastern block steel. Fiat were in those days doing deals with the likes of Russian, Poland, etc. allowing them to produce older design Fiats in exchange for steel and other raw materials. One big difference was also that the eastern block cars used much thicker sheet steel so was inherantly more resitant to rusting through whereas all west European makers were using much thinner material. Fiat used thin eastern block steel. The steel was also rusting before the then heralded paint treatments went on.

Back in the 70s at college I had a Fiat 600D and my mate a Moskovitch car. You could jump up and down on the roof and bonnet of his car despite surface rust. Car was as slow as a snail, drove like a barge, stopped like a tanker and drank fuel like a student :)

that is correct, however rust problem in fiat's was addressed mid to end of the 80es. i had 2 teapot TD which despite gross abuse and several unrepaired dents, never developed any rust whasoever.
20 years later, the bad reputation survives.
