 i have a problem. hand (needle) of tachometer starts to move when i am driving about 50KMh. until about 50kmh is on zero. is there any easy solution for this? maybe bad connection? or...

thanks.

Bad connection, methinks. Sometimes my speedo doesn't move unless I tap/whack/hit with hammer the lower left corner of it.

why? i don't know, i will check today this.

Anything electronic working in a Fiat is good :)

It sounds like you've just got a bad connection. My speedo problems (not the swimming trunk sort ) started after I had removed it a few times, but I just can't be arsed to pull it out again to check the connector. Tap the speedometer and it should most likely work.

i also removed this part few times...
probably i have to clean connectors... alcohol? WD40? UB40?

Easy solution, which seems to work in the majority of cases, is to press the tacho reset counter. This will get the tacho working.

my tacho is working fine, but needle that shows how fast I drive is lazy. it starts to move when I'm driving about 50-60KMh (my assumption)...

Sorry my miss typing, what I meant to say is that if you reset the tacho, the speedo needle will jump up and start going, not a proper solution but easier than pulling out the dials in an attempt to solve the problem.

nop! didn't work... :bang: this is difficult to fix, because you have to be on the road and in same time picking and fixing tacho... unless i put first side of car on some stumps...

If you can read fluent, technical German (or know someone who can!), there is a detailed guide on www.barchettalexikon.com how to fix broken/sticking rev counter needles. Henk at barchettaparts.com might also have some information - I asked him if he was interested in taking mine to repair and sell on. He gave me a bit of info but as he had three working instrument clusters in stock, did not want mine at the time.

thanks silk... asked Henk and he answered me:
"That's bat luck, your meter is broken ( is many times a problem witch the B) Cost new a fortune ( 900 euro) There are also different types witch lamp for left airbag and without passenger airbag I have booth price is 250 euro"

this looks fair price... but, i will try to fix it by myself... if not, then will order for Henk... hoping postage will not be to big...

No problem - good luck! If it helps, mine is from a 1999 LE (German spec) with twin airbags. It is marked 060.6340.990.4.VB 18.000 IMP. 12V I GIRO = 1.040M 46736979 TAR BIANCA 15-06-99. As Henk didn't want it and no-one wanted to buy it and She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed is demanding its (or my!) immediate removal, if you mess yours up you can have mine. It has an MPH overlay but I'm sure that's an easy fix for you. The tacho needle just stopped dead one day - and from what I can gather from my school-boy German, it should be fixable. However, I have the manual and technological dexterity of a braind-dead warthog!
