On looking at the pictures of the B's at Goodwood on 06 July I noticed that my B is the only one without front fog lights and I feel left out. My car just has blanking plates so it was obviously a low rent model. Have any of you fitted front fog lights and if so able to say if it is an easy job? I am a technical idiot but do not fancy having to pay Fiat to fit the lights as I believe a pair will cost in excess of £250! I was wondering if all the wiring is already in place and it is just a case of plugging in the lights and fitting the on/off switch or is this just wishful thinking. Anyone got a spare set of front fog lights to sell?

The car is pre-wired to take the fogs so fitting them should not be an issue, just need a switch, a fuse and the light units!

Have a poke around under the front bumper behind the lights, you should find the end of the loom that fits the fog lights......

This lot are breaking a few Barchetta's at the moment, might be worth getting in contact and seeing if they have a set of fogs. Never dealt with them but did notice that they had some negative feedback so might also be worth checking out why before parting with cash!

That's really helpful, thanks. Will now try and find the lights.

I've got an extra switch for the front fogs if you'll be needing one ;)

Thanks I will need it if I can source the lights. Barchettaparts.com don't have any and e-bay has drawn a blank so far. Will get back to you on this once I have the lights. (y)

right at €99 each...

Ouch! Fiat sell them brand new in the UK for £116 plus tax. I am sure I will find some at a more realistic price and if I don't then I will go without. Thanks for looking.

I don't think you'll find them much cheaper on eBay, Rich - but you might just get lucky if you keep your eyes on the German eBay. Look for Barchetta Nebelscheinwerfer.

The ones from 321 are by Valeo, so they should be original ones.

Trade it in for a Mk II and get a really good looking Barchetta with foglights as standard:D:D

How much wiring is fitted to a B without fog lights? Does it just need a new switch on the dash or is it a big time cabling job?

By what's been said the wiring is already in place, the switch will be easy to fit if the wiring is there just plug n play I would think. Have a look under that bit of console and if there is a spare plug near where the switch is will assume it's for that. If you lift the car into the air (not personally) you should be able to see if the wiring is there for the lights. Or it may be clipped to the original light wiring so worth looking under the bonnet before hand.

I think you are right as if you look behind the drivers side headlamp there is a flat sort of plug which I assume is for fog lights. Do you think the blank switch (next to the rear fog light switch on the console) just pulls off as I seem to have trouble getting the blank out or does the console have to be taken off? I want to take off the blank carefully as I do not want to damage the surrounding area.
