apparently some people do what a distant uncle of mine has done when the Lancia Stratos was introduced. He knew it was going to be an unique car, so he bought one and stuck it in a shed for 30 years.
Just like he did with a Matra Simca Bagheera and a few other "exotics".

I sometimes wish he has no other relatives and that i would be his only heir

This could be cheap for someone.....

Hi all,

I bought a Barchetta in Johannesburg South Africa (Very few if any, here!) and it has a damaged left front strut. I have been told that it is a common part with the Punto. Is this true? Any advice gratefully received. - Dave

Hi Dave, welcome to the forum and to b ownership! Just to clarify do you mean shock absorber? If so then I do not believe that the b and Punto HGT share the same struts, they share the same engine, brakes and quite a few other components but shockers and springs are different.......

I'm sure thats not a DTR conversion. Just look at the photo of the interior and compare it to this DTR one.

The one on ebay

Also after driving my car I don't think it would feel at all right as a RHD. The centre console is angled quite a lot towards the driver and they don't change that in a conversion.

Thanks Little Red B, I have taken the strut off, and it is being tested (or matched) by the Gabriel agents here in Johannesburg. Another question though, is the 1997 Barchetta windscreen common to any other Fiat or Alfa? I feel pretty alone in South Africa, although I believe there is one other Barchetta here somewhere.
