Happily I don't have one! But yes, was just thinking the same thing, we are all doing a great job of NOT working today - though I know some of you have good excuses! Mine is that I'm in wind-down mode for my weekend away and should really be packing
Good point! Alan? Postcard sized good with you? If so there is potentially room to add some extra text or a logo or whatever - any suggestions?

I suggest getting into 6 by 4 format, then get it printed via Tesco.com or a similar online store - 150 glossy prints for around £7.50.

I get paid a reasonable day rate (but only 2 days per week) for this stuff!! - that said I am only making up for being shafted as a permy for the past 4 years!!

Getting text into the photo in order to send them a complete jpeg might be beyond my capabilities . . . anyone else out there who can do that? Also, is a photo rather then normal printing going to have the same problems with getting wet?

ok, lemme be bit of a spoilsport here...
I dont mind all the wonderfull ideas, and i wouldn't mind to have "a stack" of maximum 10 stuffed in my pocket or car (make that 5 pocket and 5 in car), but not more, its not that i run into a lot of B's overhere...
And postcard size seems to be about right size...
however... unless you were going to laminate them, i would prefer to use inks that do not run on a rainy day, or paper that does not fall apart...
... you do not want to go upset people do you?
But using laminated cards, or special inks/paper is going to up the costs per card a bit, who is going to carry that?
So, i would stick to simple B/W laserprinter, on decent thick paper, six "cards" per A4 sheet. Cut to size yourself
And yes, it will still fall appart on rainy days, but at least one will not have to rub 5 runthrough colors from ones windshield.
Unless someone can get a hold off those plastic baggies the parking-nazis use?

Although, i think a Sticky on the forum called "i've been tagged" where "tagged" owners can introduce themselves would compliment the "spotted" thread nicely.

Yes it is putting a lot of work on you Gill to print it all and send it to us. We all obviously have access to PCs and probably good printers. Maybe something we can download to print ourselves would be easier (+ I'm ethically apposed to tescos!)

I don't mind! Being a bit of a purist I'd rather make sure they looked good and didn't end up being scrappy bits of dodgy photocopied paper! Not that I think anyone here would do that of course

In a nut shell, unfair and underhand trading practices that are putting local farmers and suppliers out of business and destroying small towns (like mine if they get there way). It's not just a 'not in my back yard' thing. Here's their latest plan:

I'm in BATs, (Belper Against Tesco) and I've talked directly to tescos marketing people, you wouldn't believe some of the stuff they came out with, plus they have very bad dandruff...

sounds like some good ideas here, if the are to be for b only that will be easy for me as i have only seen one other here parked outside his house it never seems to move.
i do how ever see lot of other fiats here but is it just for b,cause i could spread plenty about if it a general thing.

Sorry Gill I was getting the post ready for doc when jasper had a fit.
I would say postcard size as any driver may think it's an ambulance chasers card. If it's slightly larger they have more chance of making out the Barchetta and therefore more chance of reading it.
If it's wet it's wet and wouldn't put a flyer/card on the screen but would post it through the little gap above the side windows or not at all.
I know that printers need very high res quality pics or it will be crap. The high quality pics are more your remit I would say So if your printers are happy to do this fine, if not I can look at a mate who is a printer in Kent and ask him to distribute from there. He's done me lots of favours in the past probably too many so will have to pay. Not that that's a problem.
I can also send out to our overseas members so the card/flyer will remain the same.
Ben is currently sorting out an official 2008 flyer so asks once this has been sorted could members please also put the official flyers on all Fiat's spotted.

Seriously though this is a great idea! If we can attract a few more members we might top 20 at the next meeting (or is that a bit too optimistic)?

Postcard sized it is then. I've asked my guys if I can get some free laminating included as well (they have agreed to do the artwork and printing) so let's see what they say
