I thought I might as well get this thread started as the project will begin in the next few months.

In the mean time, I wanted to mark a slightly spooky coincidence.

A little bit of news for you. Becs is 17 weeks pregnant and will be giving birth in Aug. Its all change in the Evans house hold. :D

Spooky thing is my wife Laura is exactly that pregnant too! To the week. We are due on Aug 13th. Fancy a race?:D

Thanks all for the kind words and best wishes. We are over the moon. Were some initial worries that the B might have to go, but thanks mainly to seeing you lot at the Nottingham meet Laura realised Barchettas are
a) Classic cars
b) Driven by nice people

So cheers for that:)

On to the list of fixes and mods I have in mind for the car.

In (very roughly) the order I intend to get them done.

1) Fit fascia panel for the stereo - starting small(y)
2) Fit replacement hardtop clip
3) Strut brace from http://www.strutbracer.co.uk/
4) Cam Belt change, variator replacement and full service
5) NGK Iridium Spark Plugs from http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIAT-BARCHETTA-1-8-16v-NGK-IRIDIUM-IX-SPARK-PLUGS-x4_W0QQitemZ260004577079QQihZ016QQcategoryZ10382QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
6) Green Cotton Induction Kit or K&N replacement sports filter. Not sure:confused: about this, see my post on the barchetta as a beast thread.
7) Get the Tracking checked out
8) New discs and pads - these may just end up standard items, I was so impressed with the brakes on the B I thought I had ABS - and I don't:eek:
9) Repair the crack in the rear bumper
10) Custom made stainless Cat Back exhaust - I'm aiming for a hard high pitched note.

This could take some time. I will post photos of all the work as it gradually gets done.

Cheers

Matt

Not for long. For the first year you should be OK. Then Ride on toys, prams, play houses and the like creep in.(n)

!! NEVER !! :slayer: :p

Doc, I love your optimism!!!! :D

Before we had kids I used to spend a lot of time playing with car's (and racing them), eating out, spending money on stuff we did not need!! - all of that changed, it's difficult to say that it changed for the better because life becomes very different with kids (you will understand what I mean later this year!!) - it's all good though!! (just different)...................
