Technical MattB2K Barchetta Project

Here are the exit pipes from my new exhaust. Went for a run on Monday evening did the local 0-70 route and it felt faster than before so maybe I've gained a couple of HP.

It is loud, when I was planning it I was thinking subtle raspy thoughts, but then when I was in the shop I thought for £295 quid I want to know where my money has gone So I've got two small silencers and the smallest twin exit pipe they had (not all that small). Better pics when I get a little more time.

As said to KC it will probably have a slightly tinny note for a week or so till the carbon fills the baffles it won't be quite as loud in a few months time but it will be a more tuned note then. The BMW and Barchetta took months to settle down after fitting the custom Stainless.

Anyway I'm sure the smile on your face will be just that wee bit wider when your out for a drive ;)

Quick update on the car, clutch is adjusted and she is running smoothly. General plan is to get some more of the mechanical bits sorted whilst I am not garaged and once she has a home, get the bodywork properly sorted. My Eibachs are really rusty looking so coilovers are probably next on the menu, unless I can cajole Peter into making me an induction kit, in which case that will come first.

Now the real reason I am on here at this time of day is that I want to let you all know that Laura and I had a baby girl on Monday afternoon, she weighed 7lbs 9ozs. We have named her Edith Elizabeth and she is lovely. This is her when she was just hours old!

Got through MOT today. Great job by the guys at MGC in Nottingham. Got new discs and pads at the back and a new offside wheel bearing £240 including the MOT and VAT. Great service. On the walk from work to MGC I saw a Silver Barchetta with a hardtop and a fiatforum sticker on the windscreen, felt like a really odd coincidence when the receptionist at the garage told me she'd never seen another B!
