I decide to start my own b thread so I don't have to ruin others threads.. ;)
Just finished fitting BMC DIA kit & oil catch tank, that BMC kit wasn't so easy fit that I expected, got it barely fitting under bonnet. I was glad that I didn't go with that carbon kit and try to fit it same way.. :)

this ain't the final fitting, just have to get it fitted, it's friday evening after all

before (there was many major leaks on intake pipes, old airfilter was pretty dirty although it was changed 4000km then):

after (cleaned throttlebody and fitted BMC and catch tank):

Yeah, I know, have to do some paint work under bonnet too..

In the end I think b is now more powerful than before with that dirty sucking intake system, and those sounds, when you rev over 2500rpm (y)

Couple pics of new parts:

Did something to interrior too, I was thinking to paint those panels with that usual silver, what btw looks pretty good :) but then I decide to try something new, not really sure will I keep it that way..

Not sure about that shiny stuff on the centre console..

There are two guys on fleabay who do alloy dash kits..one is a complete set of metal look alike rings (plastic tape) sounds worse than it is..in carbon, chrome or alloy effect for the dash, switch gear door handles etc.

The other guy does real alloy bits..dial covers, vent rings and window switches..the real alloy ones look pretty good.

Did you use stick on sheets for the center consol 97? I think it looks ok as it goes but I would spray over the top with a thin black paint so that it looks almost black but you can make out the carbon when you get close up. (y)

You have the same catch tank as me (y) Its a good quality one so should last ages.

Nice work all round (y) keep it up.....spend, spend, spend (y)

Yep, I had one roll and decide to go with it..

Might be worth of trying that, it would be nicer littlebit darker..

Yep, it looks pretty strong.

Thanks!.. (y)

Next I'm thinking of polishing that engine cover, new hoses , new heat shield, brembo brake discs, lowering springs, strut brace, new allows+tyres for summer...

It's a endless list when it comes to b..

Excellent post and great job, undecided on the carbon effect consul, would need to see it in the flesh but I agree with Doc that it should be darker (y)

As for your mod list, every time I tick one thing off I add another 3 things to the list!

Yep and once that little lot is done I am sure an even longer list will show up :D I know it did for me LOL
I kind of now that feeling.. :D

Thanks man!.. (y)
Yep, that "carbon" ain't so shiny in RL as it seems on that pic, photos taken with phone etc.. :) I try to get some better pics today..

Very nice overall (y) although as said the carbon fibre interior I'm not sure, you may learn to live with it and it may grow on you so leave it a while and see...
Thanks again!.. :D
Have to take and look with it, after all its pretty easy to remove if/when I'm going to paint that console for example silver

It has at least lasted the 200 miles or so that you have used your B :p

Looking good b_97 (y) - but personally I'm not too fond of carbon look. Had it on the other hand been brushed steel/alu...:yum:

Barch can tell me where you got the induction kit from and did you have to relocate the airflow meter.that looks like the type of one i will be looking for.

I get it from local finnish dealer, it was last of its type in stock and I get it for little discount. :) I think you can get it from some local store from your country, netstores ain't allways the cheapest ones ;)

Yep, I have to made/modify new induction pipe and move airflowmeter to get it fit under bonnet, here is pic that show you how I done it.

There ain't really much space to get it fitted, no can do with stock pipes.

Below is a picture of the consol made of real carbon fiber. It was on sale on eBay.de a few months ago for some silly amount of money.

That darker looks really better!.. It's a shame that I'm not really in with ebay things , there would be lot nice stuff to buy..

Get this silly black aluminium tubing out and replace it by something that doesn't restrict airflow.

You might think it have gained you power but you will be surprised when you get it on the rr and compare to standard. with a proper hosing you will gain power.

Have a one off intake pipe made for your car. (y) See my picture below.
Where can I found one of those?

Maybe I could modify something from old pipes.. Or.. I still have 50cm of that 76mm aluminum pipe..

Have to work something out tomorrow if I have time..
