If I had £350 it would be spent on this. Well I did as it goes until it was spent on a £730 bed on Sat

yeah, who needs a bed when there's a perfectly good couch in front of the telly :)

Not forgetting morning sickness phew! :yuck: later on she'll be eating coal in bed or other such cravings :)

It was raw carrots for me! About a pound at a time . . . one day I was at home and the car was in for a service and I was desperate, so I went round my next door neightbour's (who were out but we had a key of theirs) and stole their carrots!

Thought I'd post this here as it's becoming a bit of a 'general' thread! Someone sent it to me today and for some reason it made me think of this forum ;) Keep reading, it will make sense when you get to the end . . .

Why men don't write advice columns

Dear Walter,

I hope you can help me here. The other day I set off for work leaving my husband in the house watching the TV as usual. I hadn't gone more than a mile down the road when my engine conked out and the car shuddered
to a halt. I walked back home to get my husband's help. When I got home I couldn't believe my eyes. He was in the bedroom with a neighbour making mad passionate love to her. I am 32, my husband is 34 and we have been married for twelve years. When I confronted him, he broke down and admitted that he'd been having an affair for the past six months. I told him to stop or I would leave him. He was let go from his job six months ago and he says he has been feeling increasingly depressed and worthless. I love
him very much, but ever since I gave him the ultimatum he has become increasingly distant. I don't feel I can get through to him anymore. Can you please help?

Sincerely,

Shelia

Dear Sheila,

A car stalling after being driven a short distance can be caused by a variety of faults with the engine. Start by checking that there is no debris in the fuel
line. If it is clear, check the jubilee clips holding the vacuum pipes onto the inlet manifold. If none of these approaches solves the problem, it could be thatthe fuel pump itself is faulty, causing low delivery pressure to the carburetor float chamber. I hope this helps.

Walter

What he missed was the fact that it could also be the ignition system........ :D

or just ran out of fuel... :D

but i feel for the poor guy: lost his job, selfesteem, is depressed, tries to do something about it... and then gets set an ultimatum...

before you know she starts nagging him to redecorate the hall....

PS: now, before anybody rises to the occasion... i am just joking... granted, maybe not my best or most tastefull... but a joke nonetheless.. nothing personal
PPS: darn, i'm getting PC and sensitive with old age :)
