Good photo's guys and gal's, damn it knew I should have trundled up with the battle ship grey job, even if it is dented. Maybe next time.

PC is white, blue & yelow, Brigade is Red, WTF you on about, what's that got to do with black :p

Politically Correct brigade, I am sure that black is no longer a word that is allowed - I believe it has been replaced with monochrome, come to think of it shiny grey is kinda monochrome........................... :p

Ricky glad you had such an enjoyable time, until you actually get out to these and meet the other members face to face you don't know what you are missing, Very good company (y)

Hi All

As a new member I have to say that it was a delight to meet the guys at Goodwood on Sunday, excellent company and I had a great time. Weather is dreadful here and I was hoping to take my B to Somerset tomorrow on a business trip but if it's like today it will stayed nice and cosy tucked up in the garage. Will have to go in the boring business car. Pleased to say my B passed the MOT yesterday with no problems, bless her!
Rich ;)

Yes, MOT's are so strict now making it nervous and they charge £50!

Rich

Excellent news Rich, just before the guy MOT'd my car a couple of months ago he informed me that there are no free re-tests any more so, if it fails and you have a re-test it could cost £100! gulp

When I first started driving £100 was the budget for a complete car with a years MOT................I remember paying about £12 for an MOT not that long ago......

showing your age Lee :nerner:

Richpea: Glad you enjoyed the company on Sunday, if not the weather. We didn't stick around too much longer given the heavy downpour. The day was enjoyable for me, but what did spoil it a bit was the fact that the Earl Of March raised the price of the breakfast and yet reduced the quality of food and placed the tables outside. At this rate we can expect next years breakfast to be a slice of toast for £15 and you have to eat it in your own car!

Fortunately the fellow petrolheads and an array of cars (Topolino, 2CVs with considerable patina, and others) made it worthwhile.

Wow, I did not know that you have to pay for a re-test. This old codger (me) can remember paying £75 for my first car (Ford Anglia like Harry Potter's) which came with some tax and a full MOT, crikey that's about the cost of a tankful of petrol now. Even better, my mate paid £25 for a Ford Zodiac, ran it for a year and sold it for £10 when it failed the MOT. He sold it to the MOT tester who swore blind it would never pass and a week later we saw him driving the thing! Happy days! :)
