He does, I think you have to send a photo of the rubber seals you want for the side of the hood so you get the right one.

Defo the rubber seals. Checked them out albeit in the dark, under a street lamp and with torch in hand and they look pretty knacked. One side looks a bit ripped so will have a good look at weekend (if there is any daylight up here!). Will look at the those websites and thanks everyone for their comments.

I thought about getting a cover aswell but realised it didnt really cover where I needed it to. Need to clear that garage out and get her housed in there for the foreseeable future.

I had to remove the cover over the window wiper linkage today and there are a couple of places where water could leak into the footwells. I would suggest removing the cover and taking a look, the heater fan intake sits in the gap between the cover and the bulkhead, there is a bloody great rubber seal around it, if that seal is split you could have your problem. Thanks LRB. It looks like i might not be able to pick up the b till the weekend so I'll be in touch then for the instructions. The garage said they could see if they can lock the keys in the boot for me so I can pick it up after work when they are closed, but as I've never actually tested my spare blipper I'm a bit worried about letting them do that!

Hi All

Some one gave me the link for a half cover that fits the b - I think it was you lrb? I've lost the thread - can you remind me of the link? I'm picking up the car later so it will be interesting to see if it is full of water again after todays weather! By the way the coolant leak turned out to be a small split in a hose somewhere.

Leak update. I just spoke to garage again and clarified what they have done. They have replaced a seal and readjusted the door and say that they have checked it today after it has been stuck out in this horrible weather and its dry! hurrah! hope it stays that way.
I visited the site for the roof cap and their shop is being updated at the moment so I might just wait and see how it goes now. Can't wait to get my car back!

I got my b back last night, no problems. Apart from the lhd feeling really strange and the ride feeling extremely hard after driving a corsa for a week! Fingers crossed we won't have to go back any time soon ( i really shouldn't say that!). They cleaned her for me and she's looking lovely again! By the way how do you lot feel about calling the b 'her' or 'she'? I know some people don't like it but it seems natural for the b - must be the curves!

Thanks for all the useful advice, but I think you're all missing the point- it's a "little boat", therefore some bailing out will always be necessary! My Baby Banana lives with me in northern Italy, and I periodically have to bail out the area under the tonneau, which must amuse my neighbours. I don't mind because I am more than amused when I go for a spin!

Best way to keep it dry is to keep it garaged, don't go out in the rain and only wash it with a damp cloth! Lol

Yes! The quickest way to kill a B (without crashing it) is to trap moisture under its rubber matting. It will rust away from the inside out in no time.
