Technical Big holes in resonator

I believe that the second pipe needs to be left were it is. My catch tank should arrive next week :)
Ok, I thought so.. If all goes ok, I would get my catch tank too next week. :)

As for pipe diameters, I can't remember off the top of my head. Let me know if you find a supplier because my current ducting isn't really the best (if you look at the photos I posted under the CDA thread) and I'd be interested in getting something a little better looking!
Yep, think I have to measure that diameter. I'm concerning something like that kit what I postet before.

Not really decided yet should I go with that BMC Carbon kit or something else, maybe BMC DIA kit....

But my intake pipes are in so bad condition that I have to get new ones..

Barchetta_97, which site did you see those pipes on? Or does anyone know of anywhere you can get hold of the various pipes?

PS. My catch tank has arrived, just need to find a longer pipe to put it where I want it!

Found them on some local Finnish supplier :yum:, should be there next tuesday & catch tank should be there on monday (y)

I think you should look those pipes/hoses from some "tuning" stores, they usualy have them but not for cheapest prices.

At first I was thinking of making that intake pipe by myself , that would be cheapest choice, but then I just get lazy and ordered that kit what contains some shiny 45 & 90degree pieces and straight pipes and rubber adapters/hoses.

And at this point I'm going to order BMC DIA kit on monday, allmost 150€ cheaper that that carbon kit.. and I'm thinking of upgrading to that GSR kit at somepoint when it's ready. :)

Thanks for the reply. I'll have a look around locally as Finland is a bit far to travel :)

I'm thinking in removing the resonator from my intake system, to create a deeper sound.
Will this affect power in any way? Better or worse.
Do I need to close the connection hole beween the airfilter tubing and the resonator. Big dirt can be sucked into here I beleave

You can take off all the mile of pipe (including the big airfilter that lives under the battery) and replace it with something...I used a CDA and made up a flexible pipe from the pipework I'd removed from the massive over filtering job. I reckon Fiat thought the B was going to Saudi..top notch dust filtering, completely wasted in northern Europe.

CDA sounds good and give noticably more torque on launch, low down in the rev band. The car was measured at 128Hp on the dyno before and 143 afterwards so a useful improvement.

Only downside of the CDA is its a bitch to dismantle, clean and re-oil.

Thanks for the info but I want to keep the original airfilterbox. I don't want to oil my filter every once and then, + clean my throttle body or air mesurement thing after oil deposits.

I just want to throw away the resonator. Who has done this before and what are your thougts?

Btw: some uses have connected an oil catch tank with a little filter. I want to leave out the catch tank and just connect the filter after 30cm tubing.
Is there really so much oil spit out of the crank breather?

Ok I do need a oil catch tank then ;) or just leave it connected as it is right now. I will figure something out in the next week.

Still havn't got an answer to the resonator thing. Can I remove it and what do I have to do with the rubber connector.
