Thats is one thing what I was thinking.. But what if I put that airsensor sameway as shown on LittleRedB's pic?

Is there room for that?

You have this kit installed? Could you put some piccies?

And one more question, maybe stupid one, but whats the meaning of that marked pipe on that pic?

Re: Big holes in resonator

That's a breather pipe which takes the slightly dirty air from the engine and recycles it to be burnt again. I've disconnected mine and will fit a catch tank. Docs already done it.

The CDA won't fit the way you describe as it's too long with the mass air sensor on the models like yours and mine.

I'll get some pictures when it gets light and I can find my camera but I think the Doc's already posted one a few posts back.

Re: Big holes in resonator

MadMatt is right, due to the length of the pipe/AFM the plastic elbow joint will hit the rad. Only way I could think of doing it for our models with the external air flow meter is to replace the original filter housing with the CDA or to get along to a SAMCO dealer and buy short sections of Silicone induction hose to create a bespoke fitting.

I am sure it's do-able but will require a bit of patience and quite a bit of new induction pipe.........

Ok, so that pipe is not necessary.. On that LittleRedB's pic there is only some kind of filter?..

You read my mind , I was just wathcing SAMCO's pipes on one site and if that one pipe is not necessary it gets my job easier..

EDIT There is complete kit to help installing induction kits, maybe going one of these with that BMC.

Re: Big holes in resonator

Not sure about the kit, could be worth it. You can do it without if you want. I'll try and get some pics as soon as I can find my flippin' camera!

I think you should install a catch tank if you remove the breather pipe, I believe that's a law in most of the EU.

Re: Big holes in resonator

You should fit a catch tank for the oil breather, its law if your local MOT station is diligent

I am interested in seeing how the CDA fits without re-working the under body layout, at the moment am happy to work with GSR to mod a kit specifically for the b but would be interested in seeing how the CDA fits (although that said I love the sound of the green kit)..........

Re: Big holes in resonator

BTW, have you guys disconnect that other hose too when adding catch tank?

And could someone tell me the diameter of b's intake hose, thinking of ordering those hoses now.. I'm kind of lazy today.. (and I have white B, kind of.. )

Re: Big holes in resonator

Mine was covered in ice, but no snow today!

I believe that the second pipe needs to be left were it is. My catch tank should arrive next week

As for pipe diameters, I can't remember off the top of my head. Let me know if you find a supplier because my current ducting isn't really the best (if you look at the photos I posted under the CDA thread) and I'd be interested in getting something a little better looking!

Yep, think I have to measure that diameter. I'm concerning something like that kit what I postet before.

Not really decided yet should I go with that BMC Carbon kit or something else, maybe BMC DIA kit....

But my intake pipes are in so bad condition that I have to get new ones..

Re: Big holes in resonator

Depending on what induction kit you go for some of them come with generic induction hoses that can be cut to size............

Re: Big holes in resonator

Barchetta_97, which site did you see those pipes on? Or does anyone know of anywhere you can get hold of the various pipes?

PS. My catch tank has arrived, just need to find a longer pipe to put it where I want it!

Found them on some local Finnish supplier , should be there next tuesday & catch tank should be there on monday

I think you should look those pipes/hoses from some "tuning" stores, they usualy have them but not for cheapest prices.

At first I was thinking of making that intake pipe by myself , that would be cheapest choice, but then I just get lazy and ordered that kit what contains some shiny 45 & 90degree pieces and straight pipes and rubber adapters/hoses.

And at this point I'm going to order BMC DIA kit on monday, allmost 150Ä cheaper that that carbon kit.. and I'm thinking of upgrading to that GSR kit at somepoint when it's ready.

Re: Big holes in resonator

Thanks for the reply. I'll have a look around locally as Finland is a bit far to travel :-)
