I am still about - just been totally tied up with work for months and months!
Still have my b - doesn't get much use at the moment but thinking of joining you folks in Nottingham next month!
Will try and spend a bit more time on the forum - not too concerned about mods at the moment though.....keeping my 03 facelift pretty standard...
Having said that the threads re exhausts have got me thinking....:yum:

A new MkI front bumper from the Fiat dealer would set me back about €1200...I ordered a MkII front that fits the MkI - indicator and fogs included - and a MkI rear bumper for €712 (inc. shipping) from Krauland
By the way, has anybody seen a switch for the front fogs for sale lately?
Ok I won't show a pic of the one I got from Germany, however it did go straight back cause the build quality was shockingly bad.
The original bumper is £377 over here with discount if you change your mind when the other arrives and it can be sent cheaper let me know and we'll sort something out. My first choice would be a good quality used bumper but there wasn't any about when I was looking.

I would love to go but am spending every day of the week commuting on the train from Ipswich to London - just not practical to then drive back down in the evening to get to the ACE. I did drive into the city over xmas but it is such a pain once inside the M25 ....... A12 is shocking!

Looks like its good to go at the moment!! If so, should we meet on the M1 somewhere (along with anyone coming from the 'South') and arrive in convoy?
I will try to arrange another get-together at Virginia Waters again this year with a run down to Goodwood or somewhere of similar motoring interest, you be up for a spin?

Yes to both counts!
On the 10th I will be coming over the A14 so will hit the M1 at the bottom of the M6. Meetup at the 1st services on the M1 after then?

If the roads are dry and salt-free today, it might even be seen on the road today. Meadowhell here we come
I might make it to Nottingham, who knows? There are an awful lot of grey cars there, you need some colour.

Cheers - much appreciated :hug: I'll let you know how it works it out; hopefully the bumpers are refurbished used ones rather than homemade sh*te. Fingers crossed :spin: If there's any difference I got mine from http://www.motoso.de/ and not from eBay. Crossing my fingers again :shrug:

Thanks. We didn't go the Meadowhell after all, but drove round the Peak District for the day. Top down, heater blasting away, more or less dry roads. Just what we bought the car for.
No, it wasn't me in Sussex last year. Kent (to France), Scotland and the North of England were the only places the b was driven last year. Mind you the car was in the dealers so many times last year, the mechanics could have used it for their holidays. A few years ago one of my laptops was away for repair for over three months. Actually it had been repaired almost immediately but was then sent out as a loan machine to another company. We only discovered this when someone from that company came to work for us. Great heh?
Well Alan, I recieved my bumpers today. Now I'm looking to get hold of the seller, and I'm also looking at options for returning them.... I also wonder why the f*ck I've got two front bumpers instead of one front and one rear .

I don't know what to say, from the photo's they look awful - they almost look like jig's that manufacturers use to fabricate the prototype bumpers and body parts..........
I think we should track this guy down and help him see the error of his ways, you are not the first and won't be the last b owner to be taken for a ride by this cowboy - I think ROUGE had a similar issue with an eBay bumper.......

I'm so sorry for you mate, I know how angry I was at the time. You need to contact him first in the hope that he will accept the return. Try to remain calm, if you go nut's he'll probably f**k you off and you'll get nothing back.

Always stick with Fiat OEM bumpers for the B, its a golden rule! Hope you get your cash back m8
