Thanks doc :) - but I'm still on hold until I've sorted out the front bumpers I have. i.e. I won't be buying any new fronts until I've either returned the ones that I have or I've been given a partial refund - or anything :mad:

After I've sent him a few mails with "do not send the rear bumper" and the words "return" and "refund" in the last mail I received from him was:

"Hello Mr. Raymond,

I will send a new rear bumper and the fog lamp on Monday.
I carry postage costs.

Best regards

Uwe"

:rolleyes:

:bang::bang::bang:
What an utter c**t!!
:bang::bang::bang:

Obviously I replied that he shouldn't send a new bumper, rather give me the money back - and in the worst case scenario I can cover the half the shipping. Anything to minimise my losses... Moreover, I opened a dispute with him on PayPal and he refuses to answer via those forms... I'll give him a few more days to get his act together (...as if that's gonna happen) before I escalate the dispute to a claim on PayPal. Hopefully they can help me get some/all of the money back.

:cry::cry:

Badly so far...:mad:

I filled out the form on the PP page, and 10 seconds after I had submitted it I got this mail from PP:

"You have chosen to escalate your dispute to a PayPal claim. By ending
communication with the seller, you are asking PayPal to investigate the
case and decide the outcome. As part of our investigation, PayPal reviewed
any communication you may have had in the Resolution Center.

Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund."

So, Pay Pal's protection is feckin' b*llocks...:bang::bang:

Now, how many members on this forum did you say Alan? I'd better start "blackmailing" him :mad:

I thought they would refund you if the article was substantially different to advertised. In this case the difference is substantial because it can't be fitted.

Yup...:( I'm well devastated; I thought the PayPal protection was supposed to be there to help buyers when receiving dodgy goods / not receiving what they've payed for.

The PP User Agreement says:
13.11 Significantly Not As Described
c. The item is unusable and was not disclosed as such.
e. The item is missing a major portion or quantity.

I would've thought that these bumpers would fall under those paragraphs :confused: Just sent PP a mail asking them to clarify this :mad:

dont want to further discourage you, but paypall/ebay has also an habit of locking the accounts of all parties involved in a dispute/claim ...

i hope they wont in this case, or you'll find your paypall/ebay account and credibility sh*fted :(

Not too worried about those; don't have any money on my PP account, and my eBay rating's only 40 or so. I'd like my money back though :)
