Nooooooo!

Glad to hear that you and your passenger is ok, and that your B isn't totalled. Doesn't look very nice, though. But I'm sure you can put her back together again!

Lykke til!

1500 - 2500 Euros and you are back!!!
Drive it over here if its too expensive to fix there!
I have a spear bed for you while you stay.

Be happy man! you ll repair it!!

Thanks guys - I appreciate all your support . And the spare bed

I'll have to see if everything functions before I start checking prices. Most likely I'll just put her cover on for a few days and think about how to get minimum £2000 (this is Norway after all ) - and get a price from some Polish blokes for doing the respray and and fixing the bumps. After that I'll get on eBay and look for new bumpers (Naxos :yum:).

I think that even at £4K-5K SS' pee-coloured B would be too expensive, considering that I'd have to pay probably £3K in customs, VAT etc. And yes, I'd drive a yellow B :) At this point I'd even drive a red one :p

Not too sure about the pub; not too fond of drinking, and moreover £5 for 0,4l of lager... I obviously need all the money I can get for the B :(

Exhaust. It's the FIBA.01.102 SIL 1X102 one (y)

doesn't look like anything vital/structural is damaged, although it might become a bit pricey to get that rear sorted out

althou, you could adventure using LOTS of filler, repaint it and then flunk it off to some chav or a drunk laplander who wants sumthin diffrent

but yes, best put a cover over it, leave it for a day or two and then haul up the spreadsheet and work it out.

dont leave it too long thou, cuz some of the exposed metal bits will start turning reddish/brown soon.

strenght!

That's too bad Robot - glad you and your passenger aren't injured; must have been scary as hell!

I had a "robot" moment yesterday going round an off camber left handed bend near home in the slippery damp conditions. Back end stepped out, and nearly started up a proper "tank slapper" across the road and near some seriously large trees. Fortunately it came back again, and I'll be losing 5-10mph round that corner in future! Not proud of this, btw, last thing I want to do is hurt a) myself b) oncoming drivers and c) B.

Had visions of a totalled "porsche" going through my mind though....

Gutted for you mate but also glad that your OK and thinking of repair.

believe it or not the front panel/wings are in three sections, if you need prices let me know as often panels are relatively inexpensive and less time consuming to repair so although maybe a bit more expensive to buy will be less expensive to repair. The front will be a B@$t@rd to repair with all of the curves so 2 new panels will be worth considering.

Just make sure that before you consider anything get the geometry checked.

I wish you well.....

Hi Robot

Really sorry to hear about what happened! That looks like quite a project you have now.

Out of interest, has anyone done, or know of one of those advance driving courses where they teach you how to handle skids and stuff? Is it worth doing?

Shel

Glad to hear you and you passenger are ok Robot, not a good start to 2008:mad:.

I hope you can get the car back on the road and that the accident has only left panel damage as the pictures suggest......I am sure you will not let the car become a donor and allow us Vultures to scaveng over parts of your beloved...

Remember Ray.....

We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day

hehe

Tough Luck ! I echo the best thoughts of others. It could've been FAR worse it might have been a RED one. Tragic !!!!

 !!! Thank God you were both unhurt..... !!

Hope you manage to fix her up ok...

I think if it ever snows or freezes here I will leave the B in the garage...

I think the Met police now do private tuition but not sure, other wise there are plenty of advance driving courses that will advise. It sounds exciting but get's pretty boring after a while unless you can get another car on the pan and start chasing it ;)
