Hi guys, had some work done on the b yesterday just for my own piece of mind really:confused: I've got a mate who's a mechanic who is soo cheap,he recently changed the clutch, cambelt, oil and filter and air filter on my daughter's 2001 1.2 8v punto for £75 labour ! :D Then last week he did cambelt, oil and filter, air and fuel filters on my 2004 pug 307 2.0 hdi for £50 labour:D on the b yesterday he changed cambelt, the two bearings, oil and filter, air filter and spark plugs and also new anti freeze for £60 labour !!:D I was chuffed to bits and on the 35 mile trip home(mostly motorway) i was thinking how the little b was running like a finely tuned rolex and really enjoying myself in the early morning sun:slayer:when i got pulled over for doing 96 mph:eek: The b***ard was hiding his motorbike behind a hedge and had a camera poking out from the panniers:bang: My only bit of luck was he could have taken me to court for 96 mph but let me have a fixed penalty,£60 fine and 3 points,f***ing bargain !(n) Ironic thing is on the way to pick up the ickle black boat i was telling my son who gave me a lift that on thursday 15th i get 3 points of my license ! Ah well back to square one:cry:

I would count yourself lucky as new laws that i thought were in action from a few days ago state that over 94mph in a 70mph zone will now be 6 points on your licence(n)

:yeahthat:

Read about the change in law yesterday, another change that has been passed with little consultation - great to know that it's for 'our safety' though..............

This subject really pisses me off:mad: You can imagine the size of the eyes in the back of my head are seeing as I cover over 2000 miles a week on our wonderful highways:mad:
How can it possibly be justifiable that on a road where there are no roundabouts, no t-junctions, no traffic lights, no pedestrians, no children running out from between parked cars and everybody is travelling in the same direction, that the speeding offence will be more severely punished than on an urban road?? Pathetic:mad::mad:

Are you sure this law has gone through? According to Pistonheads.com it is a proposal.

I think there is more idiotic driving on motorways anyway. Crap lane discipline pisses me off. I like to drive fast when the conditions are right but if the law says 70 and you get caught at 94+ then it's your own fault, nobody has forced you to drive at that speed.
