Tuning Barchetta induction

Hi lee,:)

maybe i,m being silly, but have you pluged the connection on the air flow meter. and made sure you have positioned it in the right place. there is a pic on there web site.

Cheers KC, I will take a look and make sure - did the pipe create a 'humming' type noise on tickover - almost sounds like a turbine!!!

This one cost me £180 in all. Its the most direct cold air intake I have seen for the B :). The pipe bore is as wide as we could get it and the CDA filter box is the Audi TT 225bhp filter.

This will only fit a B thats battery has been moved.

I'd be interested in the induction kit, do we have a guide price? What about fitting and mapping at the same time?

I had a CDA but never got round to fitting it and someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I still have standard induction at the moment. I'd be interested to see the difference it will make.

My intake can be made again if you want for about £180 + your CDA filer box. The hard part like I said before is the battery needs moving out of the engine bay and that is a easy but long job.

GSR make a good intake system but you have to use the filter thats with the kit.

Mapping is on the cards but I have a load more mods first before getting it done.

I have been looking at Unichip piggyback system.

Looks interesting, but the claim:

"Only UNICHIP is fully customised to your individual car, so only UNCHIP can get the maximum performance out of your car whilst retaining all the standard safety and diagnostic functions of your standard ECU."

Doesn't seem to be true. My chip was remapped to my individual car with it's mods. So they're not the only ones who can do that. I think oldschool's people do the same.

For the Barchetta, they seem to be the only ones who leave the original ECU programming in tact so it can be reverted to if needs be. On the other hand I think I paid what they're asking for a re-map and CDA fitted.

I'm not sure f I said it before, but I managed to re-site the CDA so I get a fairly good intake, but without the need to move the battery Obviously it's not as nice to look at as Doc's and it's slightly longer (ooh err Mrs).
