In regard to the price, it's only come down £1000 beacuse of the time of year, I know that my local Fiat dealer added £1000 to the price of a b in the showroom because the sun was shining.

EDIT: Is there any coincidence that it was the local fiat dealer "until three months ago" and I assume it was parked there for the first four months of its life if they never lifted the bonnet.

It might just as well have been parked there for all the diagnostic skills they showed!!

Unfortunately the dealership has moved to another Evans Halshaw in Manfield, and they are worse. The car went in for a minor repair and came out with air cleaner hose hanging off the throttle body, bracket not fixed, seals broken where they removed the driveshaft and cv gaiter broken. EH said the seals and gaiter could have failed at any time and that it was pure coincidence that they failed when their technician (monkey) removed the driveshaft. Yeah, right.

And so it's dealer number 4 (AutoWorld, Chesterfield) next month for its two year service.

Unless you need to have the car services/repaired at a dealers (to keep the warranty valid) I would always look for a small local garage with a good reputation, they tend to care a lot more and also tend to fix things, not just replace them............

I've had so many problems with this car, that until it's out of warranty I don't want to risk any problems with Fiat by having it seen to outside of the dealer network. Peak Alfa look to be favourites when the warranty expires.

Such a pain in the ass being tied to a dealer network, my wife drives a Citroen Picasso and every time the little service light comes on it's back to Citroen to re-set it (30 sec's work) and charge me £35 for the pleasure...........if it was not for the Citroen computer I would use a local indi garage............
