Hi,

unfortunatly one of the bearings that supports the differential has gone on my b :( Right now I´m trying to understand whether I have to remove the entire gearbox or if its possible to partially dismantle the differential/gearbox and change the bearing.

Any one with experience of this? Or any one who knows where I can find a good illustration of the gerabox/differential and how it is assembled?

/Patrik

Here's the "Removing-refitting gearbox and differential" from the service manual. Hope it's of help.

Thanks!! However I hope that it is possible to remove the bearing without having to remove the entire gearbox...

Well, I´m not absolutly sure but almost. You can move the left driveshaft including the part that goes in to the differential house up and down and I don´t know what it could be beside the bearing??? But any other ideas wolud be great!

As soon as I´m back in town I will take a picture and show you what I mean.
