Wouldn't you know it? Just as my MOT comes up for renewal, the indicators have started playing up .

Most of the time they work fine, but every so often they will only flash very, very slowly - one flash every two seconds - instead of the normal two flashes per second or so. If I leave them for a few minutes and try them again they usually work OK, but that's not much help when I'm approaching a junction or preparing to overtake...

I've double-checked all the bulbs, and they all seem OK. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this, or is it just the usual FIAT electrical gremlins at work? Knowing my luck, they will play up during the MOT test, and I'll end up with an even bigger bill than usual!

Any suggestions as to the possible cause will be gratefully received!

Toss the sticking indiactor relay and purchase a new 'un

Almost certainly the relay, if they were flashing faster would be a loose bulb or connection............

Probably get a relay in Halfrauds

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but sometimes the indicators don't work in mine. If I tap the hazard light switch they start working again and will be fine for a while.

I'm thinking duff hazard light switch, as when you press them they normally disconnect the single side indicator circuits (well, they have done in my previous cars...).

Was told it's a common problem, or is it just the indicator relay? Looking at my service history, this was changed back in April 2006.
