Sounds like you know your way round an engine, why not put a 16v coupe turbo lump in her ?

Don't allow yourself to become the Doc's lab-rat!!! He has devious plans to commit just such an act but wants to experiment on other 'B' owners first.......it starts with a Turbo lump and before you know it he will be cloning you 'B' in his lab!!!!

Found this poor B in my local breakers today , think is was an LE as still has the steering wheel with the red inserts but not much more!! Engine is still there but hard to see as it was on top of a another car. Did manage to recover the handbrake cover which i have been looking for, just given it a clean and about to put it in its new home.

You want to go see what the window hood rubbers are like. If in good condition and you can pick them up for a few ££, then I am sure a few people will bite your hand off for them.

Sorry Doc, you're speaking to a B purist I like her just the way she is, even to the extremes of the original fiat hood, one of which I have new boxed just waiting to go on. I think shes dropped a valve this time but I have two spare heads to use if I can't fix the original. The only thing I will change eventually is the ride height and wheels, but theres plenty of time for that, I've only had her 7 years!

Wasn't fitted with single point LPG was it?

OOOhhh that's a bad one, I did this to my Jeep earlier this year by driving into the back of a skip truck, dread to think what would have happened to me if I had been in a 'B'.............
If only you'd have totalled your Jeep we'd have one less Yank "car" on the road
Believe it or not you are looking at 5.5k of damage!!! That resulted in the Jeep being written off and me eventually buying the B.........Jeep was great for the family but the B just keeps making me smile!!

Blame my kids - they were arguing in the back, took my eyes off the road for 10 secs and the bloody truck we were following did an emergency stop!!
Mind you it was the first accident in 16 years that was my fault (I've had a couple courtesy of other drivers).......
My B could use some love.If you cant afford love some cash could help her
