Styling Post pictures of your new B modifications so we can all have a look

When I first read the topic I misread it as "Post pictures of your new B modifications so we can all have a laugh."

Each to their own and all that, but I must dig out the [usually german] modifications. There are some scary additions out there!

Got to say this stuff is great (y)

Just my thought :)

I think doc's got too much time and money on his hands ;)

You would think so, but it makes the Barchetta feel so much more solid ! Even with the top down it helps with road noise. So much so even the girlfriend noticed when we went out for a drive.

So far I have fitted it to both doors, speakers, the steering wheel column and the hood bay cover. I will be also be doing the dash, boot and bonnet as well as the front wings.

This stuff is ££ but its money well spent. I give this product **** stars

Doc Orange Peel

No disrespect intended Doc but it's a convertible and you are worried about road noise??
Maybe fitted to Alans BMW:yuck: :D it would make sense:eek:

Again, no disrespect intended.................

Not just about road noise, it also makes the Barchetta feel better built. I no that sounds nuts but it does work. One door works out at about £15 and takes about 40 mins. In my book its £30 well spent and only 80 mins.

I bet if you do the doors you will want to do the dash next.

EHEHE debate is all part of a good forum HEHEH and always most welcome. (y)

Continuing the thread of no direspect intended Doc, I suppose the thing to say here is "each to their own".
I get the distinct impression Doc that you are quite dedicated (for want of a better word) to your B and spend a lot of time on him/her:D
Me? I absolutely adore my B and although I do lavish probably too much attention on him/her/it I am of the school that just likes to jump in and drive it and enjoy it for what it is. Yes, every time I take it out I clean the wheels before it goes back in the garage and yes I have added the odd add-on but I fail to see the somewhat almost infatuated desire to increase the power output of the car etc. If you wanted a turbocharged car then why not buy an appropiate vehicle rather than a convertible that was never offered with a turbo?
I suppose the answer to all that is.......each to their own, so I will shut up:eek:

I tend to agree. On the other hand, once I did one or two things I found I quite enjoy the odd project here and there. I'm even thinking of doing the new shocks and springs myself (thanks to Doc's guide)

For me though there are limits before I'd start thinking about another car. Turbo is one of them, but I am considering a fast road cam.......

Still, it's fun to see what others get up to :)

I've got a new camera so here's a look at the engine bay, you'll notice the strut and the CDA. I'm going to try and change the way the CDA is layed out, but I'm having trouble getting hold of a 80mm flexible length of hose.
