Technical Mystery Wire

Hello All,
I am new to the Barchetta scene, my last fiat being an X/19 Gran Finale back in '91, hope fully the Barchetta is a little better built!

I have a mystery wire dangling in the footwell on the passnger side can anyone idendify it (see pics below) and tell me where to stick it (politely). The airbag light is on on the dashboard, has someone disconnect and air bag or summat? The guy I bought it off said the dash light was some trvial seat belt pre-tensioner problem that he has ignored for the last 3 yrs.

Also the electric aeriel isn't working, could it be part of that loom? I dunno!?

Can't help you on the wire myself, but welcome! Someone on here will definitely know the answer

Cannot help very much with your dangling wire, I would suggest that you need to get your head under the dash and look see for anything apparent
As for the airbag light, it is probably a case of somebody taking the seats out at some time without disconnecting the battery first.Although the light is on, the airbags are still live and will work.You would need to take it to a Fiat garage to get it switched off and they will charge you around £40 for the privelige

I have seen the same cable in my B ,not just hanging it is held under the glove compartment.Could it be for the passenger airbag?I dont have one,do you?

The yellow cables are for airbags / pretensioners.

Looks like this one. Follow the arrow to see where to plug it in. For some strange reason, though, where it's plugged in doesn't seem to be any airbag or pretensioner .

I'm with Robot on this - yellow cable sheathing usually means airbags, crash sensors, etc.

Thank you all for your rapid responses. Thanks to Robot I have rehomed the cable although it does leave me with the nagging thought of why it was disconnected in the first place - is it going to go off in my face?

Don't stick it anywhere, it's supposed to just hang there. It's a test plug for the airbags.
