Hi all

We rolled the windows down this morning and now they wont go back up again on both sides.

Is this a common problem? I was thinking of a fuse but as we have had the car only 2 days, I dont know where it is!!

all help appreciated.

Hi this won't be any help to you yet, I have the same problem, except that when I first use the car both windows do not work, after about 10 Min's they do work. I have checked the connections fuses and generally poked about the only thing I can think is that I have a bad earth connection. the annoying thing is that it doesn't always happen so is hard to diagnose. :bang:

Sorry dont know. when I fitted my power mirrors to my Barchetta I did not spend any real time messing with my windows as everything was working fine.

I think Fiat must have fitted some kind of safety relay. Have to look in the B manual for info.

If it was my B, I would listen to the door when I flick the window switch for any motor noise or clicking sounds. I would also try and help the window up a little as I pushed the window button.

Did the windows go down real slow ?

After a very misty day(or night) the windows dont work as fast as usual. The motor has a frequency switch( i cant remember were i read about it,it must have been in the Doc's site with the manuals) becoase of the lack of pillars there is no other way to make the motor to stop at the ends ,if something makes it work harder it produces a different frequency and it stops. But after a few minutes when you try it works again.

I'll try to find the pdf later.

Ah-hah. It was the safety relay with a loose fuse

thanks all
