You can buy a specific TV tuner for ebuyer for about £33 + Postage IIRC. They regularly sell on ebay for £40+!

One person had one at £59.99 and openly admitted that it was the same version as available from ebuyer!

THe laptop I bought for £999 from Aldi; one sold the other day for £1300 + £35 postage!

The thing with Ebay is, as a seller of course, is that people are as Mad Colm suggests, stupid. It's like gambling, they get addicted to the buzz of bidding, oh, I'll have another quid and so on, before they know it, they've bid more than retail........derrr!!!!!!!!!

So I keep putting stuff on there and idiots keep buying it!

Yeah, I agree, to get a bargain you need to know exactly what things are selling for. Some rare things reach massive amounts which I can understand because you can't get them generally but I can't understand a lot of what I see.

I know it is what you say "the thrill of the chase"/stupidity but maybe also that people are getting lazier and buying online is simpler to them?!

The Punto badge I sold could be bought new from Fiat for a fiver. I sold it used for a tenner. Generally things don't always go for so much. It was a one off. I actually felt sorry for the buyer.
