Posts: 3 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Punto 1.2 ELX Cabriolet Bertone Hi guys I’ve reluctantly decided to sell my beloved Bertone after putting it through it’s MOT. There’s only three registered (according to Fiat) in the world and two of them are in their museum in Torino, Italy. This one is the only one in the UK of that year and model. As said it’s the limited edition coach built by Bertone in Italy. Mines Bertone Yellow with original Blue Suede? Roof. About to put it on eBay etc. Any advice would be appreciated. New rear suspension strut. New wiper motor. 4 new tyres New CAT New Lambda sensor New ABS sensor

I would be interested in the Bertone fabrication number found on the bonnet slam panel. I don't know whether ours is the oldest survivor, but was first registered in August 1994, so between us we may have oldest and youngest.

When I did an enquiry with the DVLA after speaking to Fiat Italy, they confirmed mine was the only one registered. Does that mean the others are SORN? That could be it. I’ll look for the Bertone number as it’s in storage whilst waiting for sale. It’s cost me so much to get it through it’s MOT that I daren’t let her get damaged. I really don’t want to sell her. I do have a question though guys. The Speedo was working then stopped. The cog in the gearbox is rotating. The Speedo had been changed for a known good one but the Speedo still doesn’t work. I’ve been told it could be a resistor in the dashboard console or a wiring fault. Currently use a satnav for speed checking.

This is a common issue with virtually every Cabrio. When the roof is partially retracted you have to manually move the mid rail backwards (it is the cross rail above the rear edge of the door). If you don't do this, it creates a scissor action which causes the characteristic cuts in the roof on either side above the doors. Good luck with the sale.
