someone outbid me!! £501 and its yours! lol

i cant afford it now.... was hoping for a loan from my dad but thats a no go apparently..

hes retracting my bid if i win so one of who is interested might as well get it for £501 rather than him re selling.

Shouldn't you have checked you could actually buy it first instead of potentially messing the seller about by retracting your bid?
 
I think the car is in serious need of setting up. i visited the seller (sound guy) and drove the car, but on boost all it would do is bunny hop, and quite frankly my N/A 1108 was quicker. (n)
The big ends are on the way out too as he says in the ad but it seems to run ok for now.
it's not my place to influence but think about these things before bidding.
The car itself in in really nice condition with there only being one dent on the drivers side door the rest of the bodywork seems in really good condition, as does the interior.
Basically if you get this for £500 odd you'll probably need at least another £200 for setting up and repairs.

just my thoughts/warning :)

If the big ends are dying, its probably gonna need a new bottom end (cranktrain) and / or new beariongs and possibly a crankshaft regrind. Id be thinking £200 for that alone, then labour on top, and its gonna need RR time, so Id think another £500 to set up tbh :)

Sounds a bit like my turbo when i bought it! So be warned this car WILL need a engine rebuild! So unless u have a dad/mate who can do that it will cost alot more than 200quid to fix.

I have the dad tho so its all good (y) plus i got vanaaken down the road lol! :D
