Hi I am looking for a replacement speedo for my 1970 Fiat 500L ( rectangular ) type all
Working as should as mine have various problems
Thanks for any help with this JoHn

How quickly do you need the cluster? I am starting to sort out the fitment of an "Abarth" style instrument cluster--on my "L". Unlike all the other models of the 500, The "L" with its raised metalwork where the cluster fits needs some of the raised part of the dash to be removed where the cluster is to fit--once the cluster is on, it's on! my instrument cluster might therefore be for sale. The only drawback is that until I can get some details sorted out, mainly to do with 'connecting' the mechanical speedo-drive to the electrical sensor for the (electronic) speedo I can't proceed. It might be wiser to keep this offer as a 'back-up' plan--hopefully somebody else on the forum can help you out. What exactly is not working correctly in your instrument cluster?

Let me know when your able to sell you speedo cluster please thanks

I have got a spare one here that has been in my cupboard for quite a few years :)

If 'Toshi' has a speedo-head available right now, take up his offer---just use me as 'the back-up plan'.

The one I have is MPH :)

Sadly, the "Abarth style" instrument cluster that I planning to fit to my 500 has 'Smiths' gauges in it--but I do get a speedo in MPH using these gauges, whereas all the "lovely Italian gauges with 'Abarth' on them" are all in KPH--and they are b---dy expensive! The Smiths speedo that came with my 'kit' is a 'Smiths Electronic 100mm' speedo, but the pulse converter that came with it wont fit on the end of the speedo cable. I have therefore, after having lengthy conversation with one of their engineers, supplied CAERBONT (in South Wales; they are the 'Smiths instrument' people these days) with a new Fiat 500 speedo cable (as well as the inappropriate pulse-convertor) and they are going to try and sort the problem out for me. I will keep people advised of the outcome of this latest 'adventure'.

Is it all working and how much please

I can't remember the history of this one, just that it has been in my cupboard for years. If I spin the input the needle responds and it is showing 54500 miles. Could do with a clean. Happy to post for £40 :)

Any chance of pictures please can send via WhatsApp 07525176611

Is the speedo an electronic one or cable driven? Is the speedo in KM or MPH-- (I realise that may seem a silly question, but when I try to expand the picture, the screen on my lap-top just goes dark)

I should have mentioned that I am asking about the 'Abarth' instrument cluster
