Panda (Classic) P45T Winter bulbs

Panda (Classic) P45T Winter bulbs

So there's a place in Thailand that makes Headlight upgrade kits for Pandas?

Must be to keep the ladyboys busy between shows

Link please!

To the kit, not the bladyoys!

I'm not up to inserting a link but if you search for the description - the kit I bought reads:

H4 Halogen Head Lamp Front Light 100W 90W Universal Wiring Harness relay Kit

Other options are available but if you buy the same kit then that little black box that says "V-tex" on it in white is a voltage step down thingy that needs a bypass to deliver all volts.(y)

I hit a pot hole yesterday and the passenger side bulb smashed. :bang:

I kept the old bulbs in the car so I pulled over and changed them back half a mile later. Anyone who drives for more than a few miles with a headlight out is a complete moron.

im pretty sure p43t is the standard H4 base..

my brother has tried these LED bulbs. on his car.. they are the ones that has the cooling ribbons (most modern type) sadly they just dazzle everything. they have no beam pattern what so ever. its a shame because they are loads brighter than the standard H7 halogens.. they would be even more if the light was going where it should.

he is back on the halogens now.. so i am on the look out for some H7 spot lights... hehe. after all why should i not have more light output on talon...

No its not.

looks it to me..

its on the bulbs that my old cinq took..

Indeed, them one were P43t base, therefore no good at all. Box redy to be send back - shame.

Seller redirected me to on-line osram bulb identifier tool - which is wrong as well!

This means gentle beam adjustment will take place.

Which according to the item listing it is (y)
Except for the writing, and the picture. Speed reading king strikes again:p

I have to say, with road legal wattage halogen P45t based bulbs in standard headlamp units Grumbleweeds headlamps are (literally) brilliant. Beefy wiring and relays really do make all the difference. Best headlights I've ever used.

I spend most of my time whilst night driving the Panda shouting and swearing at the selfish pricks who constantly shine their uprated bulbs directly into my line of sight.
The problem is so bad now I don't drive the Panda's at night apart from the higher mk4 which gets me out of the glare.
What is the deal with folks using front fogs at night too?
In my opinion these uprated lights are unneccessary and frankly a menace - better vision for the driver but a blinding distraction for oncoming traffic and awful when they follow you close behind shining full bore into your mirrors.
The thing I really don't get is this occurs mainly on well lit urban streets, not in some foggy backwater.
Time some new legislation was put into place about this as clearly bulb/light output technology has superceded the old regs.

Only one thing is worse than too bright/badly adjusted lights - having a light out!

Sorry for the rant - not been a good week!

Yes me bad as always, I saw P43T base and brain said 'ohhhh, P45T' :p

It's simple, they're :tosser: :bang:

Tend to find blinding them back with my main beam gives a little sense of a F U back to them :D

i have 2 spot lights on talon wired up on a push switch.. i naturally have them pointed into on coming cars front windscreens, just so i can give it them back.

and my spot lights have 100w bulbs in them :) (sadly not much difference in light output.. i think it just makes 98% more heat and 2% more light output)

Also! with my brother now working at halfords, doing bulb fits, oil level/coolant/screen wash checks and other things that every car driver should mandatorily know to be allowed to operate a vehicle..

he had one lass come in who had the car from new for 8 years claiming that "the red kettle" is lighting up a lot (i guess the engine needs a cup of tea..), which was super low oil. she also thought that the side lights were low beam.. and the low beam was full on max light output.. wow. 8 years. (and the car had not had a service for all those years as she thought that the MOT guy did it for you when it went in!)
the car? an Audi A1 1.6TDI it had just over 100k on the clock..

its scary, some of the stories of cars my brother comes home with..

Hi folks, I have a few questions about headlights, so I thought they would be relevant here.

I have a 1994 CLX with pretty poor headlights, can you guys tell me do Mk2 cars already have headlight relays or can I fit some to improve this?

Also, because I'm too lazy to wire in relays myself, I saw this on ebay, would it fit and do the job?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301610561727?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

I know the bulbs listed in the OP were 100W, but the seller also does 60w versions, would these be road legal? What is the maximum wattage I could use?

My intention is to ultimate add additional driving lights wired to the main beam, how could I wire these in with relays already in place, would I need additional relays?

any help appreciated, thanks :)

All mk2's have relayed headlights already, but as the origional circuits are aging adding another relayed circuit normally sees good results. Yes what you've linked would fit and do the job, and appears to be a good price imo.
