Now you've got me going 6x6 giddy.

Surely the future should be Perentie Panda shaped? If the Australians can teach us anything it's that 6 driven wheels are better than two.

Minor challenges sorting prop shafts and rear suspension but plywood's amazing stuff.

Now does anyone want to swap an espresso machine (little use) for an automatic grenade launcher?

Anybody..?

Damn my military vehicle aesthetic, obsession!

The original? With David Niven and Peter sellers!?

Sadly the Layer Cake version. She was on screen for exactly a quarter of a second. Still took three weeks to film it though. ;)

My cars are registered for film and television work via thecarsthestar. My Rover 213S was in a documentary about Coronation Street. :)

haha yeah, a rear leaf!

nah mate, its going to be a looooong time before i start collecting spare parts. the fallout panda has pretty much turned into a parts car for talon as i have nicked a few bits off it.

i only wondered as it would be a shame to not take an opportunity to buy the lot in a deal. that would have been my plan if i: a, could have afforded it.. and ,b, had Talon on the road.

honestly, if i had the £50 and talon on the road i would have hit the BIN as soon as i saw it :D
just stuck the welder in the back of talon and beefed up the tow hitch on the.. "trailer" when i got to the guys house.

dono about you but i'd convert it all to run on trailer running gear.. just to try and make it lighter. if you could remove the axle and springs that would make it about 50 to 60kg lighter!
that was my plan with it anyhoo heh

If you want an Omega axle for the trailer I have one on Guff II. I'll be needing an axle soon if my front wheel drive power plant plans fail.

I'd arrange some Gnomes running away from it. ;)

If you don't want the axle I haven't taken the Omega off Guff II yet. I won't need the springs if Fallout needs those as I'll be using the spare axle to make a four link set up for Peterborough before I fit it.

The 4x4 spares guy on eBay thinks the axle is worth more than I'd pay for the car. :bang:

Gnomes might be pushing my luck with Mrs H a bit too far. I like the thinking though.

Not sure about swapping axles, but very grateful for the offer, - in my mind if its to look right as a trailer then it must sit level and have identical (ish) ride height, paint, wheels, everything, to the Snatch. (Much work ahead.)

Looking at it sat outside did give me another idea though.. We don't have a dog but it could be a run for the guinea pigs..:slayer:

No, I'm sorry, but guinea pigs will never be able to get it moving, let alone run with it!!!! :D

Looking forward to progress as I have a similar rusty/scruffy half Panda (non 4x4) trailer waiting for inspiration (or VmanC to need another commission! ;) )! The good thing is it sits sideways in the back of a standard lock-up, with just (only just) room for a whole Panda in front - not sideways obviously...... (y)
