apart from that door the car seems immaculate

what raises my eye brows and would put me off is the bit where he says

"Up until 2 weeks ago the car was in daily use and working a treat."

not long after saying "No MOT and no Tax, currently SORNed but I have the V5 of course."

did the head gasket coincidently blow just as the MOT is due? a quick check shows the car has only just been taxed so can only assume that he plans to cash it in which would have been a good bargaining point but as we all know you have to have an MOT to tax it ??

How hard would it be to take the roof off this Panda and put it onto another?

I'm presuming it's a matter of drilling out the spot welds along the roof seams and removing the lot?

Black Vinyl the roof and no ones the wiser?

Thats basically it, but it is a huge job in reality. It would require removal of the windscreen and tailgate, drilling out all the spot welds along the roof seams, windscreen flange and tailgate seal flange and then carefully cutting through the factory mig welds that fill in the gaps between the roof and windscreen seams. Doable but not for the faint hearted, I thought about it briefly on my Mk1 to get rid of the horrible sunroof that is currently fitted but decided its not worth it really, if you want a Panda with twin sunroofs, just buy one(y)

That's the beauty of forums, folks come along and poke big holes in your dreams for open topped motoring

I want big holes in my roof not my dreams :(

One of my spares cars is a twin sunny and I'm gonna be keeping the roof incase I fancy doing this in the future, but as Freddy has already pointed out its not that easy.
