Panda (Classic) My Selecta

We're registering the Selecta in Barbara's ( Panda Mo) name, insurance came this morning so we're picking up the tax from the post office on the way to Panda camp.
Barbara can then drive the Selecta home after Panda camp on Sunday, and if she likes the Selecta experience I will be tidying it up as her permanent runaround and consider it well and truely saved. :)

If they don't bond however, I will have to think of a plan B.

Yes it is! :D

Really like it, particularly as it has a clock that works! It's a pity the electric windows don't. :(

Well now I have quite a list of jobs for it as I did nothing before it got Barbara's approval.

By the way, we have given it a name so I shall be starting a new 'Members motors' thread for 'Bo'.

hehe yeah after having a quick drive in it around the complex.. all i can say is i want one. make a fantastic fun little toy. just imagine what that selecta box would be like in a super light weight frame, wider wheels, and say the 1.2 punto engine. damn thing would be like a rocket!

if i ever got my hands on a selecta box i think that i may just have to do something like that.
heard that some ford festa's had the same box fitted:confused: not sure how true that is but if so i will keep my eyes open when i am at the scrap yard from now on!

Our Punto Speedgear (CVT box like Selecta) is all of those things, except the super light bit

Still fun though for 80bhp :)

Just drove it and......very quick.

It's very quick. I only did it a couple of times, but standing starts were my fave thing about the car.

I'd like to think the windows would be an easy fix. That fact that neither side works, makes me think it's a fuse or something.

Ok, so alot have people have driven it now. Isn't it comfortable? I dunno if it's the seat or maybe my Parade is broken, but this car is like a Jag in comparison.

Barbara found it uncomfortable as it happens, she is short in the body and long in the leg and just couldn't get a good position, this was just after spending two nights sleeping on the ground so may not be a fair judgement.

I was fine in it but could feel the framework at the base of my spine a little so the foam has probably past its best. As a result I will be fitting Alfa seats with height adjustment, from a 156 as they are narrower than the 147's, just to be sure they don't foul on the centre console.

I really do need Alfa seats, although I'm 5' 4" the reflection of the instruments in the windscreen at night is right in my line of sight. :(
