perhaps the conversion has put of the purests? it wouldn't bother me but I suppose if I was wanting to pay out for a panda I would want it to be original.

Insuring something with a different engine than original is also a pain, lastly, one needs to trust the conversion was done well and sensibly, there is a element of worry when ordering parts as no one can be sure what is original and what has been adapted of other models.

So, although its a nightly tempting idea to any one who loves panda's and can wield a spanner, I can see how people would be put off?

Lastly, its not really until the last few hours in most auctions you see the price jump to any degree (y)

Yeah the conversion and lack of MOT is probably an off put, the ad says whats required for the MOT but you never know what you could find with such a modified car, it also appears to have a bit of a strange past and has spent a lot of its life just sitting.
Personally I wouldn't buy a car heavily modded like that, I'd rather do it myself. I would buy cars with cosmetic mods but nothing that serious.

Got to say I like it...not the yuk wheels though.....if he got an mot that would sell well..no mot is just taking too much of a chance unless it's cheap enough.

Yes my thoughts exactly - including the wheels!! :yuck:

It's almost worth a chance but potentially needs a lot of Vern love & attention. Bit pricey to treat as parts unless it turns out as a good un - don't like them not changing the engine on the V5 - I'm a bit of a pedant with DVLA paperwork & if they haven't bothered with that, what else?

Probably a good thing I can't think of an easy way to get it back here though..... ;)

Dufty01 who is on here was the original owner...I did ask how much, but no answer... Come on how much is your mate wanting for it?? And give us the full story about why this is not being finished to achieve a good price??

Hi,

Like I said, it's not mine any more so I have no idea what the owner (albeit my friend) would be after, I guess what the auction goes for!

As for comments about taking a perfectly normally Panda etc... I've restored many, several 4x4's, standard Sisley Mk1's & facelift Sisley Mk1's, 4x4s, 4x4 S/R's and several 1000's - Super's & CL's probably one of you own one! + still have many, many more! This car that was 'perfectly good' was close to a weigh in, so not weighed in and many years of sorting storage, I'm upset it's seen as 'ruined'.]

Anyway...

The build has been done well, I think almost all parts needed are new (why would I not do that!) + cooper greased etc! As for the money spent, well, like you may see, I do it for a hobby, I enjoy the 'build' - who ever does buy her gets a good deal. I'm not sure that many people would go to the levels I did!

For the history...

Take many projects, get a daughter who wants one thing then the next, easy to move from car to car!

Anyway, it's not mine any more - so hey ho! I hope she goes to a good person who can enjoy it. I'm sure that the orginal SX 16v box is somewhere, i'll call my mate - will require a mod to the mounting but the SX has a larger 5th so if that's you thing! I'd ask.

I'll post again once I get the next project ready!

Plan is 2014 to complete, I have a 54k One Owner Green Sisley - '87 (D) with the higher compression engine, fitted with beige seats, optional stereo and yes non canoe mudflaps, standard 4x4 dash and full Fiat history. :slayer:

Hi,

Like I say, many projects! Believe me, many of my Panda projects could be classed the as same... I totally love Panda's.

I'm sure if she sells at £600 - that is a bargain. Even at a few hundred more!

Now, couple years on, I would Matt black it and put her on 14" Punto steels, Nurburgring it (I think the plates say 'Ring Toy' or similar)

So, why is she not finished? The same as my '62 S4 outside with no washer fluid and tomorrow I'll regret it... NO TIME, TASKS, TASKS and a personality profile that reflects it...!

Previous "buyer" was very grateful for his understanding per the feedback.

Wonder why the relisting doesn't explain if there was a good reason? Is that rusty picture new?

This desperately needs mot'ing to get a good price IMO - still like it though.... ;)

Yep Gavin, that rusty pic is new and it was not mentioned previously.

With the lack of information coming from our very direct questions on here I definitely feel there is other stuff wrong with the car. Shame none of us can go and give it a good look...then give a FULL report back.

Thats the danger (as a seller) with doing conversions etc, noone is going to trust the workmanship unless they have done the work themselves. Not that im suggesting that the work hasnt been done correctly, but the no mot (although there doesnt seem to be anything that would prevent one being done) is a definate put off. I feel like asking the seller, "ok so what is actually wrong with it?" again, not suggesting there is, but i would be suspicious.
