From looking at the pics, looks to be perhaps plastic..if thats the case, no wonder they get rubbed. Wonder why they werent made in metal?.

yeah they are plastic, there is no arch liner on the rear so if you look up from the back wheel you can see it.

No, not a part I thought about till this one came up. I did put the first bid on it as I thought it would be nice to keep for when I do a full resto., but now it's this price I think I'll just clean what I've got.

I will be getting creative with the glue and sealant when I refit mine, I snapped two of the mounting tabs off when I removed it so this would have been useful. I thought a £90 high bid would have won it easily but obviously not. I would be interested if anyone can source them.
