I'd want a bit more specifics than "excellent condition" - ie tread depth and any blemishes at all on alloys. A bit suspicious to only show one wheel.....

Oh yes, I'd certainly be asking for tread depths, tyre make, kerbing marks, more pics and all that before I jumped in.
The fact that I'd have to do a 12 hour and 850 mile round trip means that I'm out.
May be of use to someone up the North end though??..

The clues are there - KE = Shandong-Jinyu, 1411 = wk14/2011

By the time they were shipped from China the UK 2010/11 winter would have been over. Chances are they’ve seen one Scottish winter 2011/12 & yon laddie has realised what a good informed buying decision he didn’t make. Plan B: unload on gullible English (or Welsh) buyer.

er, slightly confused at your logic??

Detective work has established the tyres were made 1411. So they are one season old? Is this a bad thing?

A quick zoom in on the photo reveals they are made by effiplus, an asian manufacturer. Now this may be a bad thing, or they may still be twice as good as a set of summer tyres during winter??
Unknown yet.

As said above, the answers to the questions I would have received from the seller would have opened my eyes completely.
Don't know how that makes me gullible?...

My apologies. The comments were meant in general jest & not intended as personal such that someone from England or Wales might rush forward from the population to embrace the Gullible Personality of the Year Award.

The eBay listing has positive & negative elements. The seller has ensured that the DoT codes etc are visible – but also (as noted) a little shy of a proper description. I think the answers to your questions can be summarised by your comment “may be.”
