Getting the fueling right is the biggest ache on a turbo car and detonation. The pistons and intercooler will help fight the detonation, its wether your injectors can flow enough and the ecu will adapt, im sure i read that you can run either a " piggy back ecu " or a stand alone, for not too much money............... many moons ago i turbo'd a Ford 2 litre, with a blow through system, similar to this, but i didnt have to rely on an ecu........

I was going to convert it for my 16v Cinq, but time is now against me, im setting up the charity and its taking far more time with legal red tape and other issues than i expected.

couldnt you turn the boost pressure down so its a low blow, and run it with standard fuel management? Or get the current ecu remapped? Because its mpi it shouldn't suffer from detonation then should it like the cinqs? I've got an app on my tab that monitors the knock sensors, and tell me alot of info about the engine and when its running. I'm not very up to date with turbos and the management to run them, would love to learn about it but I don't know any one near that could show me.
 
If your running low boost then no, it shouldnt be an issue. My kit comes with a boost controller and a gauge to monitor. you could go the whole hog and fit the pistons too, lowering the compression.
An mpi system will possibly be easier to fuel than the single point.

Turbos just increase the intake pressure, when you compress the air, it gets hot, hence the chance of Detonation ( Intercooler will help fight this ) the more air you can get into an engine , the more fuel you can add the more power.

So this is a bolt on kit? All pipes compleat ready to bolt on and use but turn the boost pressure down. So if that's correct Ill bid but I must be certain that its that easy? In the future I might try lowering the compression with the pistons and turning the boost up.
 
I do have some silicon hoses that i could give ( if you was to tell me who you are when you won ) theres some odds and sodds bits missing, maybe some nuts, jubillee clips etc. but the main parts are there.
It currently has a bid, but to be honest if it didnt sell, i'd make a manifold for the 16v and convert that....... time is my biggest enemy, im the one setting up the charity for local young people, that a family, current work load and 3 projects on the go.......... you can see why !
 
I understand that, all i can say is, by all means look into it, i dont want to say Yes and then you find you have problems, thats not fair.

Like i said, i will help as much as i can, the ultimate descion is yours mate. Im not out to rob people, if it sells great, the charity will have a donation, if not, then it will wait till i get round to Turbo ing the 16v.
 
Yeah I understand mate, I've all ways wanted a Turbo cinq or sei but never known how to go about the setup or CR. If someone knows for sure and can give me a deffo answer I might bid, but until then good luck with the sale hope you raise good money for your charity.
