Re: pick up

Non-runner? Check.
Not road legal? Check.
Filler cracks showing? Check.
Waste of a classic car? Check.

I suppose the retro Momo Arrows could be worth something but the rest of the car should be crushed. There's no way it'll pass an SVA.

Poor car.

Seems odd..... A twin cam 8v.... im pretty sure fiat engines when they are 8v's are single cam?

Or does he mean 2x cams of 8 = 16?

Re: pick up

The original Fiat "Twink" engine used in the early 1960s was a twin cam 8v. The 16v version didn't appear until the mid 1980s.

My 1987 Croma Turbo ie was the 8 valve version. Had it for 18 years.

Re: pick up

I thought the Croma had an advanced variation of the Lancia Beta 8V twin cam' engine and later shared parts with the Thema.

Re: pick up

It was the same twin cam 8v used in a number of Fiat group cars up till the demise of the Tempra 2.0, cars like the Lancia Delta/Dedra/Thema & Coupe had it with 16 valves though.

As has been said, cars like this wont pass the new SVA rules, so its basically scrap, which is probably why he`s selling it.
