The engine in that car is essentially the same engine (Lampredi design used as far back as the 131 sport, Strada Abarth 130TC although in 8V guise) that was in the Tipo 16V and integrale (without the turbo), and when the belt snaps your def looking at many bent valves and lots of money to correct, its one of the reasons so many Tipo 16V are in early graves. Or you could pick up a cheap 2nd hand unit and fit that which would be cheaper.

Shame, I like it in that colour.

although its repairable.. i'd question the condition of the rest of the car.. i mean it couldnt have been serviced properly throughout its life for a servicable part to break.. prolly couldnt afford the running costs/servicing of the car

might have been serviced by monkeys,

Or it could have been changed/left like Fiat originally said, 72,000miles or 5 years or something which is to be laughed at, most people say 36K or 3 years on an N/A engine and realistically every 24000 or 24 months on a turbo car.
