Just spotted this on eBay, a tad overpriced don't you think!?

Whatcar used valuation is almost half that for part ex! What a joke, i hate it when people think their car is worth more than it is, an Abarth 500 brand new is almost £900 cheaper than that...

Q: How much is the Fiat 500, there's a mistake, it says £14,995 almost double what it's worth! Just thought I'd let you know as an Abarth version brand new is cheaper than this. regards
A: Hi, I believe you are missing the point. The car ghas a unique number plate, Kiss AHA! I have have recieved 70 odd messages of interest for the car and am confident the price will be reached. Morten is a musical icon, I am confident the car will be sold. regards
Still, this bodes well if I decide to sell up when I go back to uni. 1 year old sport with <10k miles gotta be worth, what, £16k based on this? (y):bang:

She's banging on about Morten Harket, but it occurs to me it's more appealing to an Alan Partridge fanatic, encompassing his "Kiss my face" and "ah-ha" catchphrases beautifully!

Crikey, don't know if that answer is more naive or arrogant! :eek:

1/ She talks as if Morten Harket himself owned the flipping car. Maybe just maybe yes the car would be twice its price.

2/ I bet that 68 of these so called 70 messages of interest were actually people like zanes trying to tell her something. If after that many messages of interest she hasn't sold it then she's nowhere near close to selling it.

3/ A quick search on DVLA finds you dozens of AHA-ending regs for £399. OK you won't have the (silly) KISS bit, but her "selling point" she mentions is the AHA bit, right?

(Now if someone could find me a 500 reg 5T3R30PH0N1C5 I'll bid 20 grand on it. As a start. :devil: )

She obviously think the plate makes it AMAZING, she has 3 pictures, on of the front number plate, one of the rear and another of the band AHA?! Is that really why people buy the Fiat 500? Just specced up a similar car on the Fiat configurator, costs around £12,500 brand new! :D

Anybody else going to send her an "interest" email?
 
I'd just leave her alone, clearly she's a bit deluded and it won't sell for what she wants but not really doing any harm to anyone!

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but its listed twice - in two different categories. :rolleyes:

"Listed in category: Music > Music Memorabilia"

How can you market it as music memorabilia!? It's no different from any other 500! Just sell the registration number alone! :cry:
